Just reading the Twitter reaction and news stories relating to the BJ interview. It has caused quite a stir!

Well done MNHQ and well done to everyone who submitted questions, especially to @cheguevarahamster for the killer first question.👏

It's good to see him being held to account and it might just finish him off. I'm betting that my local Tory MP, who reiterated her support for the PM yesterday, is quaking in her boots!🤣

@TimBoothseyes is a feisty one! Great one mate! Grin

I have my moments. 😂

bellinisurge · 01/06/2022 17:47

I love how all the dickheads thought mumsnet was all about comparing supermarket brand nappies.
Well done everyone

JanglyBeads · 01/06/2022 17:54

Someone on Twitter suggests we try and get an interview with Nadine Dorries next!

PestorPeston · 01/06/2022 17:55

Here is the Ministerial Code www.gov.uk/government/publications/ministerial-code/ministerial-code with the Nolan principles moved to a Annex A

He doesn't do very well on the overarching duty on Ministers to comply with the law and to protect the integrity of public life either.

I love the way Justine wears sensible trousers and plants her feet as wide as his.

Yes twitter has gone bananas with it.

I feel quite proud to be a MNer. I feel like everyone thinks we are a bunch of airhead mummies who only discuss car seats and best Victoria sponge recipes but seeing this kind of stuff, that the rest of the media is shy to ask; and knowing it’s such a safe space for women - that’s really excellent.

Makes all the debates over toilet brushes and wedding invitations angst worth it ;)

You can always tell when people who are generalising about MN have never been on it.

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 01/06/2022 18:14

Wish I’d asked a question. Well, it would just have been my username tbf.

AlternativePerspective · 01/06/2022 18:20

Going to go against the grain and say I wasn’t that impressed.

Yes, his waffle was painful to watch, but really, there are real issues which should be addressed which actually personally affect mn’ers.

10 minutes of partygate, 9 minutes of waffle about children’s books and only one sensible question about Northern Ireland just isn’t good enough IMO.

As for posters actually thinking this could finish him off, I by no means saw this as a serious interview, more like a pisstake of him.

failing40s · 01/06/2022 18:24

Just been to look. Am torn between feeling v.proud and feeling mighty pissed off at all the "mums, whoda thunk it?!" comments, like were bloody idiots!

Yes great body language. She meant business.

DH is much more into politics than me. He worked for Brexit. BUT BUT But
He is livid and so angry about the incompetence we have seen since the Referendum.
Partygate nor any other current issues are big enough to bring him down. But he gets weakened every day now.

I wrote to our local MP (Con), nobody has heard of this bland politician. He says, "PM is using up his 9 lives, if there is a vote of confidence he would not find it easy to support him". That was a real surprise.

Boris must know that this mood is not rare. He must be worried.
Personally I don't want a new and inexperienced PM now. We do not have anyone ready to go.

I wish there were follow up questions. Such a bloody liar.

Peregrina · 01/06/2022 19:11

There would have been time for more questions if he had been able to give straight answers.

Peregrina · 01/06/2022 19:13

There was one straight answer, to the constituent who said he didn't do surgeries. He said he did. This is a fact which MN could check out and post a list of how many he has done since he was elected for the seat.

It would also be good to compare that with May's record.

RaspberryChouxBuns · 01/06/2022 19:34

Justine started strong, lulled him into a false sense of security and then hit him with a Northern Irish border question 😅

When it’s a fact that you are a lying buffoon, how else can you approach an interview?

Blossomtoes · 01/06/2022 19:59

9 minutes of waffle about children’s books

You were watching a different interview. More like nine minutes of squirming.
