Just reading the Twitter reaction and news stories relating to the BJ interview. It has caused quite a stir!

Well done MNHQ and well done to everyone who submitted questions, especially to @cheguevarahamster for the killer first question.👏

It's good to see him being held to account and it might just finish him off. I'm betting that my local Tory MP, who reiterated her support for the PM yesterday, is quaking in her boots!🤣

The questions were great. His answers were the usual waffling bollocks and he won’t have been bothered by any of it. With all the things he’s done and not felt any shame for, he’s really not going to give a fuck about this.

He isn't going to give a fuck about it, no. But some of his MPs might.

Great first question from @TimBoothseyes . Killer😍😍

Mumwantingtogetitright · 01/06/2022 16:51

@Cheguevarahamster , apologies, I took your name in vain in my OP!Grin Can't remember which question was yours if it wasn't the first one, but you were definitely getting some kudos on Twitter earlier!

Usually when MN is trending we're all accused of being in a cult of shrill and dangerous right wing transphobic harpies (which is utter bollocks but there you go) so watching these twitter accounts who've slammed us vipers in the past now all suddenly going "hooray for mumsnet"....ooooo the cognitive dissonance must sting somewhat.

But it's nice to see mumsnet trending and not being rubbished for once!

I've only seen a clip, off to watch the rest.

Ducksurprise · 01/06/2022 16:53

Garlic Lineker has tweeted about it so my 16 year old has seen it. He just sent me the link.

Arnaquer · 01/06/2022 16:55

I did chuckle at Che Guevara Hamster! I really think Boris thought he could charm and waffle and win us all over. He really fell flat on his face. This has cheered me up no end.

LizzieSiddal · 01/06/2022 16:56

Bloody marvellous isn’t it!

His answers are pathetic and it’s another day of chipping away at him until the damn bursts.

PurpleButterflyWings · 01/06/2022 16:58

@TimBoothseyes is a feisty one! Great one mate! Grin

knowinglesseveryday · 01/06/2022 17:05

Not bad at all. He's hideous, isn't he?

Absolutely agree with this post!

Fuck me, that was toe curlingly, excruciatingly painful to watch. Did it sound like he had sight of the questions first (a couple of his mumbles sounded like he had)? That makes it even better that he was so inept.

What a total twat.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 01/06/2022 17:14

I might start a thread about what do MNers think is Boris Johnson's favourite bedtime book, I bet it would be good. I'm sure The Twat In a Hat has already been mentioned on Twitter....

nickelbabe · 01/06/2022 17:14

I was so relieved he didn't name a children's book, because that book would instantly have become the book no one ever wants to buy!

Kite22 · 01/06/2022 17:14

Thanks for this thread.
Have just been to watch it on You Tube.
Absolutely brilliant.
Well Done to all involved.

Am enjoying the comments underneath too.
Let's share this widely.

BillLius · 01/06/2022 17:17

I am unable to watch the video so I will wait for the full transcript before I scroll past his waffling gob shite.

DazzlePaintedBattlePants · 01/06/2022 17:20

I reckon Justine is quite subversive - this happened when they asked Noakes and Creasey and that lot for a web chat. The only question asked was “what is a woman”. Nowhere to hide….

TottersBlankly · 01/06/2022 17:21

Hilarious to hear MN mentioned in the Radio 4 PM headlines!

Hoping there’ll be an actual article on the interview later.

Unescorted · 01/06/2022 17:23

Mumwantingtogetitright · 01/06/2022 16:26

He obviously thought it was going to be an easy ride.

So I'm guessing that means that Carrie isn't a MNer!Grin

Given the rumours on Twitter she may well be.

Well done to the question setters.

HashtagShitShop · 01/06/2022 17:26

I do think some of the nicer ones took up too much time of a short interview and there were other more pressing questions that would have done well to be put to him.

I do realise there is only so many times you can tell him that the majority of us want him to go bye byes though.

ethelredonagoodday · 01/06/2022 17:28

MardyBra · 01/06/2022 17:30

Well done Justine and all the questioners. Loved the killer opening blow.

Well done Mumsnet and especially well done @JustineMumsnet!

Rumour has it that Nadine Dorries is now calling for MN to be privatised Grin

Mumwantingtogetitright · 01/06/2022 17:35

Yes, absolutely, well done @JustineMumsnet - you have done us proud!👏
