If they have put bins out for collection and it is half full. Aibu to put our rubbish in neighbours bin as ours is full.

Polite to ask if it's okay, but if they're due to be emptied it's unlikely to be an issue.

I would ask first. It’s not worth a disagreement over bins. People get very wound up over bins.

Just knock on and ask. My neighbour always asks I always say yeah, personally would never just use someone else's bin, but everyone is different :)

Ask first. Just because he has put it out half empty doesnt mean he hasn't given permission to another neighbour to use.

Also what mind of rubbish? Clean rubbish i would be okay with but rotting food (even if bagged due to leakage) or animal poop would be a hard no from me.

Have done on multiple occasions but we always check first - got really good relationships with our neighbours and don't want to ruin that!

We have an ongoing deal with our neighbours that we share bins as required, but we always drop a quick WhatsApp first to make sure the other doesn't have a bin bag waiting to go into it.

I do this too. Several elderly people near me with only one bag in their bin, so I sneak a couple extra in when needed. Not been caught out yet.

I live on my own and very rarely fill up the general waste bin and would have no problem with my neighbours asking if they could put a bag in, but I'd still like them to ask first.

If you regularly have too much rubbish to fit in your own bin, you buy another bin

Having said that we take each other's bins in and out so if they did do it after they'd put it out I probably wouldn't know. I'm pretty sure they would ask though.
