People are so weirdly precious about their bins.

Obviously don't put anything in there that might cause it to not be collected but beyond that, personally I couldn't give a fuck if someone put an extra bag in my bin once it was out for collection.

Just pop a note through the door asking if it's okay. Sounds like you get on with him fine so asking first would be sensible to keep things good. An old neighbour of ours came over and told us to just use her bin if ours was full. We didn't need to use it often, but it did help us out till the kids were older.

lynxca16 · 22/05/2022 17:27

Would not do it without asking neighbour first - you are already using neighbours bin/s without asking.
Its cheeky on every level.

Forgothowmuchlhatehomeschoolin · 22/05/2022 18:46

I wait til they have gone to work before doing this if l ever have too much

Hesma · 22/05/2022 18:51

Check first. I’ve had people do this to me is it really annoys me because sometimes I have more to add in the morning and there’s no bloody room! It’s so rude!

TruthHertz · 22/05/2022 18:53

Bincident. 😂

MrsLargeEmbodied · 22/05/2022 18:54

i would not dream of it and i would be very annoyed if someone did it to me

girlmom21 · 22/05/2022 18:57

If you didn't think it was cheeky you wouldn't do it under the cover of darkness.

Our neighbour always lets us use her bin if we need to. We do her lots of favours too.

londonrach · 22/05/2022 19:00

Always ask...why would you

TheGoogleMum · 22/05/2022 19:04

Definitely ask first otherwise isn't it technically fly tipping?

No, it isn't. The rubbish is placed in a rubbish bin, available for collection by the council.

Surely it's the exact opposite?

bozna · 30/05/2022 03:44

Didn't think this was a problem

TarasHarp55 · 30/05/2022 06:26

If I was your neighbour it wouldn't bother me. As long as it was bagged rubbish and I had plenty of room in mine. Rather that than encourage vermin.

Darbs76 · 30/05/2022 06:29

Wouldn’t bother me at all if a neighbour put one of their bin bags in my bin if it had space. Who could get wound up about that? As long as it didn’t split and leave stuff in it or make the bin not close so foxes have a feast I couldn’t get annoyed about something so trivial

Billandben444 · 30/05/2022 07:11

I’ve sneaked out when it dark and put rubbish in but DH said I shouldn't
Which shows you know you're being a CF. Drop a note through his door to ask if he minds, it's basic good manners.
