I saw a former colleague by chance today. We had been chatting on Messenger about getting a lunch date together or an evening meet. Quite by chance we met outside work today when I was on the way in and he was on the way out (We work in different buildings). He hugged me, we have not seen each other in person since before lockdown.

"You shouldn't be doing that, you might get covid" - I was told by the receptionist. We are all absolutely petrified of getting near anyone. When we have a girls' night we always hugged at the end. Now nobody bothers. Everyone feels scared.

We've arranged a lunch meet in a few weeks and I was feeling really upbeat too!

Can't say I've noticed a reduction in hugging lately, if anything all my friends and even work colleagues seem more huggy because we've all been deprived of it through the pandemic 😳

People I've never hugged before have hugged me in recent months like it is some forbidden fruit lol 🤣

My friends and colleagues are all hugging each other more than ever, because it still feels like we’ve been deprived of it! I haven’t noticed anyone avoiding physical contact.

I can’t say I even think about covid anymore.

We all WFH and meet up every few months, there is plenty of hugging
We had a big event a couple of weeks ago with clients there too, there was even more hugging and a few cheek kisses
If hugger and huggee are comfortable with it then hug Jeff all you want

I also thought it was going to be Jeff Goldblum on his Jurassic World promo tour and was prepared to feel very jealous!!!
