I’m getting really smelly by about 2pm and it’s completely new.

I shower daily
Chanbe clothes daily
Let deodorant dry before dressing

Wtf is going on? It’s horrid 😭😭😭

I use the Sure max cream too. Works v.well.

PutOnAHappyFace · 16/05/2022 20:40

Ooo this makes sense. I always use this and recently swapped go sure because it just suddenly didn't seem to work anymore. Must be new ingredients maybe.

BlueIvy11 · 16/05/2022 20:48

I don't think it's the menopause as I'm just shy of 30 and have been thinking the same thing for the last week at work. I'm trying dove now seeing if that works. But sanex is definitely different!

MrOllivander · 16/05/2022 20:49

Oh for anyone who likes the sure max one, I got a pack of 6 on Amazon for £20 recently so worth a look

Tragicroundabout · 16/05/2022 20:55

I thought the same thing. Been using the blue one for years then realised all of a sudden I was sweating like mad. Double checked the bottle and realised it was now just a deodorant. Back to sure for me as well

Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 20:59

I’ll report back on my experiment in a few days.

I’ll use the glycolic tip tomorrow btw - that’s super - thank you.

Omg! Thank you! I thought it was just me! Have always used the blue top one and been fine but not recently. I'd been blaming it on post birth hormones but maybe I'm not going mad after all

Lollypop701 · 16/05/2022 21:14

body wash can leave a film behind so deodorant doesn’t work. Use soap it’s much better

I know this but I’ve literally never had this problem in 30 plus years of using antiperspirant.

it’s not like I even do an active job - desk based, drive for commute. There’s no opportunity for excessive sweating.

Hiwever until my new goodies arrive it’s bar soap and glycolic acid plus the shitty Sanex!

Glad it isn't just me! I've found it makes my armpits dry and itchy now too, changed to Sure and no problems since

Rachaelrachael · 16/05/2022 21:41

Same here, was so paranoid as I literally stank by lunchtime! Did a bit of googling and found they've changed the formula which is annoying as the old one was amazing. Using Mitchum roll on now and that's doing the trick!

Conniebanana · 16/05/2022 22:14

What's the antiseptic liquid?

HMSSophia · 16/05/2022 22:23

I use mens deodorant my god it's good stuff! Far better than that sold to women imo

geniuswater · 16/05/2022 22:28

Am so relieved to see this! I thought it was just me. Bought the blue sanex a couple of weeks ago and it was terrible. Was worried i had suddenly become a super sweaty Betty but it must be a change in their ingredients as it used to be fine.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 16/05/2022 22:33

Yes! I opened one yesterday, went to work and felt very self conscious. Showered again when I got home, reapplied and the same thing happened. It's in the bin now.

CoverYourselfInChocolateGlory · 16/05/2022 22:37

Yes, I used to love Sanex but recently have gone off it as it doesn't seem effective. I'm also approaching peri menopause so it could also be that. I recently bought Vichy deodorant which I'm quite pleased with so far.

Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 22:42

It’s NOT A FUCKING ANTIPERSPIRANT!

You guys were right. Cunts (Sanex - not you guys obv)

dementedpixie · 16/05/2022 17:23

Have you picked up a Biome protect one as I don't think it is an antiperspirant and is just a deodorant?

@dementedpixie you were right! I’m so annoyed!!

I have DH’s that I can use tomorrow.

I thought it was my imagination. But good to know I'm not alone.

Robostripes · 16/05/2022 22:57

I have a weird thing where my body seems to become immune to deodorants after about 6 months and it stops working. If I switch to a different brand it’s then fine again for another 6 months, then same issue. So I rotate between Sanex, Mitchum and Dove.

AngelinaFangelina · 16/05/2022 23:37

Yes!!! My sister and I had this conversation just the other day. She messaged me and said why the fuck doesn't my deodrant work, I smell like week old beefburgers . I messaged back knowing 100% it was Sanex as I'd had the same problem. The only one that now works for me Sanex wise is the mens roll on. The others I might as well not bother.

But its not even working as a deodorant either. So it's just fancy cream to roll on your armpits.

I do this too but when I opened a sanex on Sunday after using Sure for a while there is definitely a formula change. I never usually smell even when exercising but did using Sanex just sitting at a desk. Sure enough it says deodorant, not anti perspirant deodorant now I've check following advice here.

frenchtwost · 17/05/2022 06:21

Thank you for the heads up!

I've used sanex for years as it works and doesn't sting like most. I knew they'd made some changes and I swear one of them now smells like honey??

I've just gone through my stash and found 2 that say 'New' that are deodorant and not antiperspirant. What a cruel trick!
