I’m getting really smelly by about 2pm and it’s completely new.

I shower daily
Chanbe clothes daily
Let deodorant dry before dressing

Wtf is going on? It’s horrid 😭😭😭

I think they have changed. Which one is it?

dementedpixie · 16/05/2022 17:23

Have you picked up a Biome protect one as I don't think it is an antiperspirant and is just a deodorant?

Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 17:27

No it’s the blue one I’ve been using for years.

however a chat with friends has suggested it might be me going peri menopausal making me smell.

what fun.

I am finding it hard to control my smelly pits too. Currently doing ok with the Sure maximum cream that comes in a box

Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 17:32

I’ll give that a try. Filling up a Boots basket with a load to try. Bloody bollocks.

Same here. It must've changed, I've always used the blue as well. However picked up the orange one and all is well again.

Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 18:52

@carrierbags

I’ve bought a whole bunch from Boots to try - I’ve honestly never spent so much on such a boring item but I’m sitting here smellling myself and it’s nasty 🤣

Yes! I'm so glad someone else has noticed this as I've been so paranoid. Back to sure for me now.

shepherdlincoln · 16/05/2022 19:15

That is so funny I thought the same thing! Had to pop into boots to buy something else in the middle of the day today as the blue sanex I bought last week is rubbish! It's not just you

pinkBamboo · 16/05/2022 19:25

That's so weird! I bought some Sanex a few weeks ago instead of my usual Nivea and was smelling sweaty by mid afternoon so I binned it!

WhatICallMyUsername · 16/05/2022 19:32

Yes! I am so glad someone else posted this as I thought it was me!

HeatherShiver · 16/05/2022 19:36

Have you tried Mitchum roll on?
I think its amazing

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 16/05/2022 19:38

I'll let you into a secret.

Buy some antibacterial personal care disinfectant liquid and rub a little underneath your arms every other day for a couple of weeks, then cut down to once a week. It kills the bacteria and there's no more smells.

I can't use antiperspirant due to allergies, but I'm okay with the antibac liquid.

GCMM · 16/05/2022 19:39

It's not unusual to develop stronger body odour as you approach menopause. It definitely happened to me. I had used the same deo for years and suddenly it wasn't enough.

SorrelForbes · 16/05/2022 19:42

Definitely! Both DH and I noticed it a few months ago and changed to Sure.

Roselilly36 · 16/05/2022 19:44

Max strength deodorant is brilliant, the one in the box, around a £5. Dove or Sure , never lets me down.

Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 19:48

Maybe it’s not me then!

I have Mitchum, Sure and a few others arriving tomorrow.

hopefully I’ll be smell-free from Wednesday.

Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 19:49

I’m so angry. I’ve been using it for absolutely years and it was amazing.

OP posts:
Merryoldgoat · 16/05/2022 19:49

Read ‘miffed’ for ‘angry’

Nooo! If they've changed it, I'll have to spend ages trying to find a new one that works and doesn't bring me out in a rash 😭

Showit · 16/05/2022 20:05

Same here! Thought maybe it had been opened too long. Binned and switched to a Nivea spray one. Feel better now I've seen this thread. Thanks 😊

Second this one, put it on at night
Wash armpits with soap (actual soap, not dove) and wipe glycolic acid under arms before applying deo

Franklin12 · 16/05/2022 20:11

I find the roll on or gels much better. Dry off with a hairdryer! Mitcham gel is very good too.

TheCanyon · 16/05/2022 20:21

I'm so glad I'm not the only strangely sweaty/smelly one here 😀

Asda didn't have any sure or dove maximum so I went for sanex, big mistake! It's definitely changed since I last used it.

inisfree · 16/05/2022 20:25

Yep! I had to bin same a couple of weeks ago due to same problem.
