If money was no issue, what work would you do?

Stressful week at work!

I think I’d set up a little food business/buy a small cafe and do a ‘one meal feeds two’ idea where one person’s regular priced meal funds a second one for someone in need. Obvs wouldn’t be profitable so hence the ‘money not being an issue’

Animal rescue.

Antarcticant · 13/05/2022 18:35

Dog walker/cattery assistant or volunteer with rescue animals.

Ooh dog walker is a good one! I wish cat walker was a job 😄

Set up an animal rescue. I see a theme developing.

Igotnewbarstools · 13/05/2022 18:38

My job!

I'm in Early Years, absolutely love it.
The pay is SHIT.

shivawn · 13/05/2022 18:45

I'm a nurse and I love my job so I wouldn't want to do anything else but if money was no issue then I'd only do 2 days a week (12 hour shifts)!

EvenStrangerThings03 · 13/05/2022 18:48

Something with animals, particularly birds. Or beauty, probably nails.

AgnesNaismith · 13/05/2022 18:48

Wedding dress designer

Turmerictolly · 13/05/2022 18:49

Play an instrument on a cruise ship.

Libertaire · 13/05/2022 18:50

None. There is no way I could work if I didn’t need the money. It just wouldn’t happen. Even if I tried, the day would soon come when the alarm went off in the morning, I would think ‘fuck that’, turnover & go back to sleep.

ReallyIrish · 13/05/2022 18:52

I would work in retail and have the opposite of "the customer is king" as my moto when dealing with rude people.

ValentinaLuna · 13/05/2022 18:53

Air cabin crew
would love the job but just can’t take the drop in salary

maybe one day!

rainbowandglitter · 13/05/2022 18:54

I'd be a paramedic. I've always said if I won the lottery I'd become a paramedic. I can't justify the salary drop to do it without a lottery win behind me.

woodlandarchitect · 13/05/2022 18:54

I’d be a professional cookie taste tester! Much better than being a bloody architect

woodlandarchitect · 13/05/2022 18:55

I think that means I would be a baker who specialises in cookies and sour dough….. in my own little bakery

Yeah this.

I do have lots of projects I would like to walk on in my vast amount of spare time though.

XenoBitch · 13/05/2022 18:56

Animal rescue. Or run craft groups for lonely/disabled.

WhiteFire · 13/05/2022 18:58

Similar to you OP, community cafe with various support groups running from it. Also I would offer supportive employment.

I've found my café, just need the lottery win and I'm good to go.

sickofthisnonsense · 13/05/2022 18:58

Same as now except I'd donate my wages back to the charity-

ofwarren · 13/05/2022 18:58

None
I'd spend all my time on hobbies and travelling

WhiteFire · 13/05/2022 18:59

I can see an enterprise collaboration from this thread alone.

Flowersandwine47 · 13/05/2022 19:00

Fuck all! I'd potter in my garden and bake and hike and have adventures with my kids
