Kim Kardashian WAS behind her sex tape release afterall

This one's a pondering post.

So apparently RayJ has now come forward to say that the rumours are true. Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner orchestrated the release of her sex tape with Vivid.

He's in the press today saying that about 5 years after they made these sex tapes, upon seeing how Paris Hilton used hers to boost her fame, they agreed to do the same and Kris Jenner worked with Vivid on a deal.

Now this has been an accepted understanding the whole time, but now that RayJ has publicly "confirmed" it what do people think?

Personally, I don't know what to make of it. Clearly Kim and Kris were seeking fame, and they've done very well for themselves off the back of it. Infact the whole family has. But was that the best way they could think of?

Do you reckon they just sought to exploit an opportunity that landed in their lap? Or planned the whole thing?

Having people pay to watch you having sex is basically the same as being a porn star right? So should we be judging her for what she did?

Or should we be applauding her for being exceptionally clever?

Or is it scary and creepy that these people were so desperate for fame that they've colluded to go about it this way? Especially Kris (her mother)?

Does anyone even care? She has made billions off the back of it, her family are. One of the most recognised families in the world. Meanwhile, what is Ray J doing? Trying to still get his five mins of fame. Everyone always though Kris was behind it anyway, Kim herself made a joke about it on her SNL show.

I mean I’m not surprised. Nor am I that bothered tbh.. I mean I couldn’t imagine as a mother wanting absolutely anything to do with a sex tape of my daughter so I think mum is pretty weird. I don’t mind Kim though. I don’t judge porn stars either!

I think that's the bit I find totally creepy. That Kris Jenner was a part of orchestrating it all 🤮

I dont care one bit if Kim Kardashian decided to sell the rights to her sex tape to Vivid. Or that she has used that opportunity to create a billion dollar empire. I actually praise her acumen on that.

But the idea of Kris flogging this tape just makes me feel a bit queasy. If it was my daughter I'd be doing everything I could to have the tape destroyed.

Planned it.

I've never watched her sex tape but I'm assuming it's got flattering lighting, her best angles, nothing too graphic, nothing overly explicit. Just explicit enough to get people talking about her and become a tabloid name.

Why are you all so quick to believe him over her? Why does anyone think that a man who is best known for selling a recording of an intimate moment with his partner is a more reliable source?

I’m not a fan of anyone who is famous for being famous but I suspect a dislike of the family has more to do with your reactions than a genuinely held belief that this man is someone who can be relied upon to tell the truth.

I thought this was well known already? She used to work for Paris Hilton who had her sex tape released (without her consent) but was able to turn it around and make a lot of money/fame from it. Is it really surprising Kim and Kris saw that and were inspired by it?

I can’t get worked up about it one way or another but just wanted to say that the video itself is not ‘basically porn’ if the tape itself was made with a partner without the intention of it being released.

Not sure whether RayJ should be believed anyway. Also - could there also be the chance they released it because they knew it was going to be released by someone else otherwise?

And what would he have to gain? Ooh, I don’t know. Perhaps a moment in the spotlight to boost his ‘career’? Perhaps he’s trying to repair his reputation as a man who would sell private images of a woman he was supposed to love to the highest bidder without her consent? Or perhaps he could have the right hump because she’s made a lot of money having been catapulted into the public eye whereas he hasn’t, and he fancies doing some talk shows?

@girafferaffle I haven't really been following the court case stuff with Rob. I know he posted images of Chyna though. Is he saying that because she has an Only Fans he can't be in the wrong for releasing the ones he did?!

@Sn0tnose the family are very clever and the mother knows exactly what she is doing. Wasn't it her late husband Kims father that had a well known career in Law? If they wanted to sue Ray J they would have done and had him prosecuted by now.

Or did Ray J actually get charged for what he did?
