Magazines. Many many magazines 🤦‍♀️

Rainallnight · 03/04/2022 19:30

Taxis. I used to take so so many taxis. And this was pre Uber so often actual London black cabs Blush

LadyCatStark · 03/04/2022 19:32

Eating out or takeaways. Not often but they’re now a thing of the past.

hangrylady · 03/04/2022 19:32

Taxis when I lived in London

VladmirsPoutine · 03/04/2022 19:33

Ubers, eyelash extensions, lunch out pretty much most days, always bought things on ASOS!!

But I refuse to give up on hair & skincare Grin That's the line I've drawn.

Getting my roots done/ eyebrows dyed and waxed, I do them myself since the lockdown and it’s saved a fortune (and so much time too!).

HRTQueen · 03/04/2022 19:36

Taxis. Would think nothing of spending £20 for a taxi home. It’s much cheaper now (and I hardly need to get one)

Underwear that I hardly wore even bought from Agent Provocateur the bras were not even comfortable ridiculous as if anyone really appreciated it

TheDuchessOfMN · 03/04/2022 19:37

Nails

BreakerOfBras · 03/04/2022 19:37

Petrol. Long drives for the sake of a cheap, nice day out.

Yes! Much easier and cheaper to tint eyebrows at home!

Flowers, just have lots of plants now.

Scarby9 · 03/04/2022 19:40

When I was a teenager, pre-internet and mobile phones, my friends and I wrote one another a lot of letters.
It was a 'thing' always to send these letters first class, to show you cared. With first class stamps about to go up to 98p each, that now seems utterly frivolous, but in our defense, stamps were cheaper then in relative terms, and it was our only real way of keeping in touch..

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 03/04/2022 19:40

Posh toiletries - I used to love Clarins and Origins. Nowadays it’s Nivea!

SpringLobelia · 03/04/2022 19:40

also magazines- about £15.00 a month. I stopped last year and have not missed them at all.

110APiccadilly · 03/04/2022 19:40

Flying lessons. (I hope one day I'll do it again, but it'll probably have to be once the kids are grown up!)

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 03/04/2022 19:42

Magazines for me too. Most of the ones I used to buy I barely flicked through. Total waste of money.

SewingWarriorQueen76 · 03/04/2022 19:42

Dud you knew w tgat if you have a library card, they have a huge list if e magazines you can download for free?

Which eyebrow tinting kit do you use? Interested to try this
LadyCatStark · 03/04/2022 19:43

Yes, this as well. Just being able to jump in the car and go out without agonising over how much it’ll cost. And I don’t mean far either these days, half an hour down the road is too much and I live rurally so that’s everywhere…

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 03/04/2022 19:44

When younger - booze. So much booze all the time on nights out. What an absolute waste of cash.
Now - probably highlights but yet I haven’t stopped. They make my hair look thicker and nicer. Shall I stop?! I have debated it to save money

Usingit · 03/04/2022 19:44

Clothes, though at least I don't need to buy any now as I probably have enough to see me out.

Stretchandsnap · 03/04/2022 19:45

Lunch out every day, coffees, magazines, dinners…. So much eating our

RealHousewifeOfEastLondon · 03/04/2022 19:46

Lunch. Taxis. Cocaine 😳
