Just as the title says.

Noah Donohoe disappeared coming home from school, his body was found in a storm drain without his clothes.

His mother can not get answers on why the police decided, immediately that there was no four play and us being blocked from seeing 4 files by the police.

She says On the day Noah was found, before Noah was formally identified, the Police did a media release stating that there was ‘No Foul Play’ involved.I ask, if the police are so sure that ‘No Foul Play’ was involved, why are the police now trying to stop me, as Noah’s mummy, getting four files of information on Noah’s investigation?

Surely I am not unreasonable to think this isn't ok and that most of use would want to know what had happened to our child?

This is an overview of what has happened so far.

@TheBlackDarner

I read that Donal McIntyre was going to do an item about this along with a retired DCI who worked so hard to get to the truth on the Stephen Lawrence campaign.

I can't find anything further as to this happening or not. Can anyone update on this please?

I hadn't heard anything about this for a while. Just had a look and there doesn't seem to have been an update for a while on this.

Turningpurple yes, that's why I was wondering. I'm in England so don't get the N.I papers, so I thought I'd missed
what happened somewhere.
I don't know if it's because there's not been the Inquest yet.

Hmm

I have signed and shared a few times now. I can't believe how little traction this is getting.

The last I heard was that it was in production, there had been delays because of the pandemic and travel bans, but it was hoped it would air sometime this year. There are also now the delays with the inquest to possibly factor in.

Perhaps someone will come along who knows some more.

@Horst

It’s probably also because it’s just a lot of the same people posting so it’s not active as such it’s more a chat between just a couple of posters for the coding for active.
a chat between just a couple of posters I think it's rather more than that, involving rather a lot more posters.

I agree. The mainstream media have a lot to answer for too, in how little they have covered this.

@TooBigForMyBoots

Ah come on now *@MNHQ*, my post didn't make this thread appear in Active. This is not the only thread I've been on where this has happened. What is going on?
Yes, what is going on? Did you get an answer @TooBigForMyBoots ?
TooBigForMyBoots · 07/04/2022 22:29

I was babysitting today and heard the rumour that is circulating amongst his schoolmates. If this is what Fiona believes, then it is inhuman of the PSNI to withhold the facts of Noah's, completely not anyone else's fault, death.

That poor woman is being tortured by the very people who should be helping her.Sad And everyone else who knew and loved Noah.💙

TheRealMrsMac · 07/04/2022 22:32

@thenewduchessoflapland

Wonder if the police would have reacted differently if he was white?
That's a very good question.

And not just the police, but also the other institutions involved and the people who Noah crossed paths with or who saw Noah that day.

@Turningpurple

Clearly have too much time on my hands. But from my observations I think the algorithm favours threads that are newer.

New threads can get 4 posts in an hour and be in active. But the older ones don't.

I remember being told fairly long ago by MNHQ that new threads do get a bit of a head start with the algorithms, which is fair enough.

But I really think that isn't all that's going on here, unfortunately, looking across the Active lists and pondering this.

Different threads seem to have different algorithms, and I also remember long ago MNHQ telling me that these can be adjusted by Tech.

TheRealMrsMac · 07/04/2022 23:09

@Yiayoula

You could well be correct, Turningpurple.

We’ll just have to carry on bumping as much as we can, until Fiona has those 500,000 signatures .

Unless you’d like to make this thread a “sticky”, MNHQ ?

After all, one of your declared aims is “ to make parents’ lives easier by pooling knowledge, advice and support “.

Fiona is a parent.
She needs all the support she can get.
How about it ?

Well said.
TheRealMrsMac · 07/04/2022 23:14

There are 303,840 people with our arms around Noah and Fiona tonight.

Will you join us?

Flynn Maguire didn’t get an investigation either. If he had, Noah might still be here. Sadly, this is not the first time something like this has happened in the north of Ireland and police have failed to investigate/ or actively covered up

TheRealMrsMac · 07/04/2022 23:24

Yes, and also Flynn is probably very lucky to have escaped and to have survived.

Still not in Active, BTW.

Oh this really is getting silly now.

Especially for something that is so important to talk about.

What a strange comment
Jamboree01 · 08/04/2022 00:25

I may have misread it?

TheRealMrsMac · 08/04/2022 00:28

Yes, I think so Jamboree1 - it's the 'completely not anyone else's fault, death' that concerned you, isn't it? The pp really didn't mean it that way.

As soon as I saw the title I knew this was about Noah.

I saw it Active Convos.

I hope so dearly his family get answers.
