incandescentglow · 23/03/2022 14:43

hello all

inspired by a reddit thread, does anyone have any juicy work drama going on right now

OP posts:
z0fl0ra · 23/03/2022 15:27

what’s yours?

SmallPrawnEnergy · 23/03/2022 15:30

Yes, my colleague posts on MN looking for other people’s drama instead of working.

Get a life OP, or go watch the soaps if you want drama.

MakeThingsRight · 23/03/2022 15:31

No not really.

Bellyups · 23/03/2022 15:32

No

SurferRona · 23/03/2022 15:40

I’m disappointed OP. I was expecting a thread about something like this…. Sad

GahAndTheBear · 23/03/2022 15:40

One of the things I really like about my current job is the distinct lack of work drama. Having worked in a totally dysfunctional team in a nightmare organisation, this is glorious.

I don’t even enjoy thinking about people having to endure work drama.

nearlyspringyay · 23/03/2022 15:59

Fuck that.

JauntyJinty · 23/03/2022 16:03

inspired by my boss telling me to do an article about work drama....

AdobeWanKenobi · 23/03/2022 16:18

Can you let us know what your headline is going to be so we can tailor responses to suit?

JayniSummers · 23/03/2022 16:21

I'll go
I work in this team , the weirdest bunch of people , there's drama ALL THE TIME one female , think really glamourous type , hair never out of place , comes from a very naice rich family but takes ridiculous risks and flirts outrageously with another collegue who acts like the leader ( he isn't we are all peers) he's harmless enough bit too good looking for his own good .hes also a flirt but we think hes possibly in the closet...
the worst in the team is a bloke who is a complete stoner , totally under the influence, does nothing but get the munchies , scruffy as hell, is allowed to bring his pathetic dog to work ....who has huge anxiety issues

Anyway , we drive round in a van , solving mysteries and shit.......

girlmom21 · 23/03/2022 16:29

YABU.

Meandthesky · 23/03/2022 16:33

You go first then OP

PinkFluffyUnicornSlippers · 23/03/2022 16:41

Nothing really. I like everyone on my team apart from one person, let’s call her Sue cos that’s her name. Anyway, Sue blatantly fancies Terry and is always flirting with him over Teams and it’s both funny and cringey to watch. Terry clearly doesn’t give a shit as he’s just got married and is very loved up right now.

iklboo · 23/03/2022 16:42

Yes! Someone drank all the lemon barley water and never replaced it.

girlmom21 · 23/03/2022 16:43

I am sick to death of reading about these heathens!

Get a security camera for the next time.

BlueEyesWhiteDragon · 23/03/2022 16:54

Someone has stolen my fancy pen and replaced it with a red one that doesn't even work!!!

I'm pretty sure it's my manager as he has form for things like this but I think breaking into his drawers to retrieve it might be a bit dramatic.

dipdye · 23/03/2022 16:58

My feckless boss keeps promising to send a memo to tell people to pull their socks up and be accountable.

He hadn't sent it yet -

BaggingTheWainwrights · 23/03/2022 17:04

Well my colleague that I share an office with decided to 'tidy' our office whilst I was away on a course yesterday. I can't find anything now. I spent 10 mins searching for a paper clip. Everything has been moved to completely impractical places. I'm fuming!

Brilliant.
tiredanddangerous · 23/03/2022 17:11

The milk in the work fridge had gone off this morning and it was still in date. I almost had a major strop which would have caused much drama.

VillanellesOrangeCoat · 23/03/2022 17:13

I didn’t answer an email within 5 minutes for a non-urgent trivial issue (along the lines of “Jane has opened a window & it’s noisy outside. Can you do something about it”) so the staff member who I manage reported me to my boss.
Same person moaned at me for a full 15 mins yesterday that someone who covered her work hadn’t left the handover sheet in her in tray but instead left it on top of her keyboard. And when I suggested it was so she didn’t miss it it went down so well she (you guessed it) reported me to my boss.
My boss is willing to give me an alibi should this woman mysteriously disappear.

MajesticElephant · 23/03/2022 17:16

Half our team got made redundant with 16 weeks notice which they have to work… the conflict between those who are staying and going is popcorn worthy.
