To think Kanye West is abusing his ex wife in public?

First off want to be clear I’m no KK fan. I think on the whole the Kardashian’s steal a living and contribute little to society.

However KK is a woman and a mother and appears to be being abused very publicly by Kanye West.

Someone needs to take his insta password away from him, he has been on another posting spree this morning aimed at Kim and Pete Davidson and other public figures who have supported them, particularly this guy who made the very real point that if Kim Kardashian can’t extricate herself easily from an abusive man what hope does anyone else have?

I appreciate Kanye is an unwell man but I can only imagine the desperation and sense of helplessness KK has right now over the way the father of her children is behaving.

AIBU to think more people should be calling this out and not saying that he’s just a man who wants his wife back and he loves her so much he can’t bear to see her with anyone else. It’s abuse, plain and simple surely?

Yes I agree. Also not a Kardashian fan but his harassment seems constant and escalating, not to mention he has fans that could be incited to violence or to pile on with other forms of aggression. I assume everything he does is being logged for the eventual custody hearing, after which maybe she can get and injunction or cease and desist against him.

Totally. There was something on Twitter yesterday comparing his behaviour to Britney Spears and saying that Britney got a conservatorship for less. I hope she can get some form of restraining order against him. Feel sorry for the kids.

I totally agree, his behaviour is classic abuse. I think it speaks volumes that Britney Spears and Amanda Bynes get placed under conservatorships while he is allowed to walk around in full blown mania for years and nothing is done. He is a danger to himself, his ex wife and his kids and I think unfortunately unless he is given the help he needs this will end in disaster.

I think Pete has been remarkably quiet considering Kanye is actively encouraging death threats against him, putting out music videos where he decapitated him, and encouraging his fans to troll a man who is known to also have mental health issues.

I don't even want to give him the credit of blaming it on mental illness. The majority of people with mental illness would never try to harm others in this way. Kanye is just a misogynistic narcissistic horrible man and he always has been.

Yes. His behaviour is utterly appalling towards his wife and his kids. Absolutely appalling. Regardless of what anyone thinks of Kim or the Kardashians, this is just despicable.
I highly recommend listening to Trevor Noah’s thoughts too. He not only references the abuse his mother suffered (ending in her death) but makes the superb point that if Kim Kardashian, one of the wealthiest and most powerful women in the world, is seemingly unable to do much to prevent this, think how many “normal” women are stuck in these abusive scenarios, unable to escape.

I just can’t bring myself to care about KK. They have enough money for body guards and security, unlike most abused women.

I admit to not knowing anything about it as their lives seem a weird mix of fakery / reality.

It is abuse, no doubt about it. I wish people didn’t feel the need to state they aren’t a fan of the Kardashians before publicly supporting Kim in this situation. It’s irrelevant to the issue at hand.

Kim Kardashian is relying on folk talking about this to get them to watch her families nee tv show! If she didnt want to have contact with her ex then she could block him. She is rich as hell and can afford the best legal advice. Her and her manky boyfriend are merely encouraging Kanye. Who I also think is a giant twat. I have bpd and when you are in the grips of mania you are not rational. Also his having a God complex is another symptom of his illness. To summarise three twats playing their lives out on social media to get wealthier and the plebs fall for it.

How precisely do you ‘block’ this kind of behaviour?! I’m not sure unfollowing him on insta is quite going to cut it. He has a huge audience of millions of people hanging in his every word. He’s not your average one man band deranged ex, who lets be clear can be overwhelmingly frightening to the ordinary woman. This is next level. He’s producing videos of Pete Davidson being buried alive and inciting violence. She can’t possibly hide away from this. It’s everywhere.

I appreciate what the posters are saying about not having to disclaimer how you feel in general about KK but I suppose I did it to show I’m not swayed or biased because I’m a ‘fan’ of hers.

I think the point is @phishy she has all of that at her disposal and is still being terrorised by this man. And at the bottom of it all, she is a mother of four children who she will love very much and want to protect from what must be an increasingly distressing situation.

Am aware of the Kardashians, have never voluntarily watched their show ( daughter used to have it on when I visited)Hard to avoid seeing headlines from time to time and they all seem to make remarkably poor choices when it comes to men.Regardless . NO one deserves to be treated the way KK appears to be at the moment . Who is enabling her ex to behave like this? Why hasn't he been sectioned or arrested ? If Kanye West had posted a picture of his ex-wife topless, Instagram would have acted very quickly. Or indeed of a woman breastfeeding.

Sorry to de-rail but why do Mumsnet remove EVERY thread started about an abusive female (Alice Evans) saying there is a real family involved but allow this to go ahead because it's about a man abusing a woman.
