Mine is the starbucks hot chocolate powder that you can get in asda but am looking for others ideas. I am not really a fan of dark chocolate and sweeter the better.

Any hot chocolate from Whittard

JudgeJ · 11/03/2022 21:55

@NotImpossible

I use cocoa powder, milk and sugar. Can make it to my own taste then...
Totally wicked but I like Green and Blacks cocoa, sweetend with Cadbury's drink chocolate! The Spanish stuff often mentioned on here is awful, I have recently found Clipper in a supermarket which I like, I've only had it in hotel sachets before.

@polkadotpjs

Given up Chocolate for lent and really craving a Baileys hot chocolate
You can relapse on Sundays during Lent.

Cupsmith dark. They make it at a local cafe and it's divine.

Whittards Luxury. I get in on subscription every 8 weeks or so. I use a very heaped teaspoon - far less than the amount they suggest.

I loved the F&M Rose & Violet Hot Chocolate (it was one of my few splurges), but they don't make it anymore.
I still have an unopened can left, but I think I have saved it too long.

Now, I go with Van Houten.

Whittards do this raspberry ripple hot chocolate which is so delicious

At the moment I'm just using the cheapest Sainsburys stuff "Hubbards" it's 99p and actually nice.

Miles! Hands down the best. Creamiest sweetest. Made in UK. Heaven x

I’m looking forward to trying some of these. The best hot chocolate I’ve ever had was in Japan. Normally I find that cafe bought hot chocolates are more like lukewarm brown milk.

LaBrujaPiruja · 12/03/2022 07:50

@JudgeJ the “awful” Spanish stuff is for the poster who wanted a thicker and deeper chocolate. If it is not to your taste, fine, but maybe say you don’t like it instead of categorising it as “awful”. I think some of the brands mentioned in this post are a waste of cocoa but wouldn’t belittle them (or their likers) just because I don’t personally like them.
@AlfieandAnnieRose they sell it at our B&M!
I’ve seen the marshmallow one in there but my favourite is milk chocolate and dark chocolate, so I have to order online. It’s not too expensive individually if you buy the big boxes though
