She seems to think she's been wronged in some way. I feel a bit cringe for her actually.

YANBU!
What a silly woman. Of course she shouldn't have been singing along!

FAQs · 26/02/2022 11:13

She must have been very loud to have been heard, with complaints also sounds like they did the correct thing, feel a bit sorry for her though, she sounds a little enthusiastic, but annoying.

phishy · 26/02/2022 11:13

She is BU to like Meatloaf. What a non-story. I would have been asleep not waving and simging along 😂

They should have had a word with her first though.

AndAsIfByMagic · 26/02/2022 11:13

Stupid woman.

MarianosOnHisWay · 26/02/2022 11:16

Some people really believe they’re the protagonist and everyone else are just supporting characters

A580Hojas · 26/02/2022 11:19

They did have a word with her during the first half of the show, she carried on in the second half.

I am sure she will get free tickets and a meal out plus the fee for her story

Dilbertian · 26/02/2022 11:21

unless the show has a “Singalong” in the title, or is invited by the performers, audience participation is not encouraged.’
‘This is partly out of respect for the actors, but is mainly in consideration for the majority who have paid to listen to the performances taking place on stage.’

Quite right too.

SlashBeef · 26/02/2022 11:21

What a loser 😆

TheYearOfSmallThings · 26/02/2022 11:22

Her family should have calmed her down. Some shows encourage participation, but after she had been asked to cut it out there isn't much excuse.

Ah yes. She’s carefully avoided saying she carried on singing after the warning.
Hugasauras · 26/02/2022 11:24

I saw this and thought the exact same thing! Just what you want when you've paid a fortune for tickets. 'Singing under her mask' my arse. She must have been making a right noise for the complaints and ushers to be involved like that.

BeaAggressiv · 26/02/2022 11:24

How embarrassing Shock

Of course you don't sing along!!

"‘As I was waiting outside for my family, I had people from the theatre come up to me and stated they were shocked at how I was treated and complained on my behalf.’"

Sure they did...Hmm

She was warned and then continued regardless, she's old enough to know better and has made herself look very daft, but I'm pretty sure she's the sort that are always the victim in their own narrative.

pricelessdice · 26/02/2022 11:27

Well if the original behaviour didn't out her as an attention seeker running to the newspaper about it has sealed the deal.

Must be a slow news day at the Metro, though, I can't believe they wasted ink publishing this.

ClariceQuiff · 26/02/2022 11:29

It's very selfish behaviour; ruining the experience for everyone else. I'm sure if she waits there will be singalong events she can go to. No sympathy from me.

Georgeskitchen · 26/02/2022 11:30

Not sure what to make of this. If it's not a singalong she shouldn't be singing but surely tapping a foot to the music is no great crime. I don't think this is an isolated incident, I've read other articles saying the stewards are aggressively shining torches in people's faces

She must have been, I would imagine Bat out of Hell is not a quiet show!
Shoxfordian · 26/02/2022 11:33

Stupid behaviour 🙄

ApolloandDaphne · 26/02/2022 11:33

I went to see Bat out of Hell last weekend. This woman must have been singing very loudly and really going crazy with her movements because the staff had no issue with a bit of toe tapping and knee jiggling! They are clear at the start that it is not sing along and apart from the end when we were encouraged to clap and sing no one in the audience was singing.

ApolloandDaphne · 26/02/2022 11:34

I also saw an usher flash her torch at someone who was looking at his phone in front of me. He put it away sharpish and that was the end of the matter. There was no aggression.

dancinfeet · 26/02/2022 11:35

Stupid woman- the performers train for years to get to professional standard, not to mention the amount of money other people spend on tickets to go and watch. How rude and inconsiderate- no one wants to hear her bellowing along with little/ no vocal training and most likely out of tune. She needs to join karaoke night at her local pub to do that.
