Cocaine use

I am 36 and don't use cocaine. Never have. Although none of my closest friends do, it has become common place in my wider group of friends and acquaintances. It's mainly used by the blokes recreationally. All family men. Often there wives don't know at all, or aren't aware of the extent.

Is this pretty normal? Am I just naive?

It's different from drinking in that at least you know the strength of the alcohol you drink.

It really affects the mood a day or so later. Idiots say it's no different to alcohol. It is very different.

I can’t stand the constant sniffing of people on coke. Worse when they’re on a comedown.

Hate the stuff myself but I do know lots of people who use it.

I'd say it's definitely more accepted in comfortable middle class backgrounds. By both men and women.
