Toothbrush heads in pocket

Essexmummy88 · 12/02/2022 12:50

My “partner” has four heads of toothbrushes in his coat pocket, yes I went through his pockets to find change for drinks at toddler group. He says he “just has them” but that’s obviously not exactly normal so I’m wondering is there some reason he would stash toothbrush heads in his pockets? Could it be some drug related thing?

Self defence? Did they have a pointy end like a shank? I’m sure I read somewhere about snapped toothbrushes being used like that.

Essexmummy88 · 12/02/2022 13:04

Okay sorry shouldn’t have started a new thread I’ll leave it. Thanks for the replies

@user1471504747

I linked it because otherwise you’re going to get a load of random unhelpful posts from people who don’t quite understand how bad the situation is.

Serious abuse and some random toothbrush heads are worlds apart OP and I don’t think getting advice on the toothbrush heads is going to help.

Do you think it would be more helpful to ask MNHQ to delete this thread, and then instead you can post on your other thread with your current concerns?

This is good advice. This post is an odd one and will draw unusual responses.
NatashaBedwouldbenice · 12/02/2022 13:06

Mnhq did the most they could, the police did what they could. But here I still am! These things aren't always one-offs. Freedom can be a process.

Self defence? Did they have a pointy end like a shank? I’m sure I read somewhere about snapped toothbrushes being used like that. Yeah, in prison for goodness sake Hmm

Why would be store the toothbrush heads if he was making weapons. And we do have knives in our kitchen so not sure why he would make his own.

If he is doing this it'll be because knives are illegal to carry.
girlmom21 · 12/02/2022 13:10

But if he's carrying a weapon he's probably still involved in drugs

KateTheEighth · 12/02/2022 13:11

You really need to leave this relationship (I saw your other thread)

It will be so much better for you with the added benefit of not needing to give a fuck about what's in his pockets or anything else he's up to

Seriously, get out

Essexmummy88 · 12/02/2022 13:12

I don’t think he is, he doesn’t leave the house.

OP posts:
Essexmummy88 · 12/02/2022 13:14

Yes I want to end the relationship I just cannot make him leave!! I have about 3p left of my overdraft to last until Friday so I’m not in a position to move out

OP posts:
girlmom21 · 12/02/2022 13:16

If he doesn't leave the house how would he get drugs?

user1471504747 · 12/02/2022 13:17

You say your family are far away but tbh you could do with moving far away from this cunt. Your son will be disappointed to move schools but I’m sure he’s not happy with his mum being abused either.

Please move to your family and sort out some benefits. Women’s aid and refuge can give more practical advice as well and might be able to sort somewhere to stay too or with an escape plan.

You know you can’t carry on like this so it’s not a question of if you leave it needs to be how and when you’re going to leave.

Essexmummy88 · 12/02/2022 13:17

@Girlmom21 he does leave the house occasionally to take the two little ones to see his mum. His dealer lives close by so he stops off. He isn’t out and about doing drug deals that would require a toothbrush shank though.

He’s been forced to leave at least twice. Why did you let him back in after the police removed him last time?
VelvetChairGirl · 12/02/2022 13:22

@JaneJeffer

Maybe he's trying to mess with your head?
this

DV includes the psychological

thats the body not the head, the head is discarded the body shaped or has other things attached to it.
lechatnoir · 12/02/2022 13:27

Have they been shaped or filed to a point or where snapped off is there a sharp end? I'd assume this is a legal version of carrying a knife.

I really hope you can get the help and support you need to leave.

VelvetChairGirl · 12/02/2022 13:29

If he is doing this it'll be because knives are illegal to carry.

no they are not, bladed or pointed articles are illegal to carry without good reason.

a gardener can carry a machete between jobs as he has good reason to be carrying it (it is for his work he is commuting to the next job).

a electrician has good reason to carry a screwdriver etc.

there is no reason to carry a shiv no excuse, be better off actually carrying a knife.

Gosports · 12/02/2022 13:33

But if a bloke is not a gardener/electrician etc then they can’t just carry a knife around, can they. Hence the need for something else.

VelvetChairGirl · 12/02/2022 13:34

that is not legal.

he would be better off carrying a knife as there are reasons you could be carrying one there is no reason to carry a shiv.

the law is not about knives it is about bladed or pointed objects

Essexmummy88 · 12/02/2022 13:35

He isn’t carrying a knife though is he he is carrying toothbrush heads in his pocket. Anyway this is besides the point as others have said

T00Ts · 12/02/2022 13:35

I just read your other thread. I desperately hope you find it in you to leave. My god. Poor you but especially, your poor children.

Essexmummy88 · 12/02/2022 13:38

Thanks @T00Ts it is not easy when there is no family nearby

They may not be nearby but it appears that they are supportive.

You need to leave.

VelvetChairGirl · 12/02/2022 13:43

@Gosports

they can if it is a legal carry i.e a none fixed blade or non locking blade below 3 inches in length, that is the entire length of the blade including any hinge not just the sharp bit.

you can not excuse a shiv.

you can perfectly legally carry something like a small Victorinox multitool or a pocket knife, many people make the mistake of thinking that all multitools are legal carry such as Leartherman, this is not the case as lots of those have locking blades which are illegal regardless of length and the other tools are taken into account too.

for example I have a Victorinox it has a knife, scissors, nail file, bottle opener, tweezers etc on it, all those are considered everyday use items, a leatherman for example may just have a knife, pliers, spirit level, ruler etc on it, those are considered trade items not everyday.
