Good. I get what you are saying by it being the women rather than the men who seem to be paying the price for all this but she really had to go. She lost all credibility several scandals back.

Oh I'm not a fan, don't get me wrong, but Allegra S, Munira M, the other lady under Munira and now Dick. When are the men going to take some of the flak?! Instead they all get bloody promoted.

Cressida Dick should have resigned/been sacked a long time ago.
It’s a lonely spot at the top of the Met, and very much damned if you do and damned if you don’t - but she has not done much to help herself win public favour/do the best for the Met as a whole.

She’ll still do very well for herself, so I don’t have any pity for her.

The big man, as you put it, has no shame and will find a way to ride this out. The only reason he isn’t being ousted by his party is because no one particularly wants his job when there is a looming threat of Russia going to war with anybody and everybody.

They never do. Make up some rubbish about knife crime being all his fault. And ulez being a terrible idea.

I too am a bit fed up of women constantly paying the price or men's mistakes.

However, she's the boss, and while she hasn't instilled this dreadful misogynistic culture (and, frankly, shit policing culture) in the Met, she has been completely unable to fix it, so she's not up to the job and she has to go.

Who can fix it? I've no idea. It needs absolute wholesale changes, from top to bottom.

What a mess.

She may well be a woman, and a gay woman, but she hasn't shown any interest in actually supporting other women.

Worse, she's complicit in the misogyny, racism and homophobia of the Metropolitan Police, because she's done fuck all to deal with it.

And the resistance to investigate No10/Boris Johnson until the very last minute has been very worrying. I think she's too much in the pocket of Priti vacant Patel.

Very, very glad she's gone. Although I'm very sad that it's a woman who has had to go.
