Yes I know that there are more important issues. No I’m not taking the piss.

Nope.
It's impossible.

DanielRicciardosSmile · 01/01/2022 00:38

I couldn't. It falls off if I wear it on the wrong shoulder.

HalfwomanHalfcookie · 01/01/2022 00:38

Yanbu, of course you can. I personally would find it very difficult. It would just feel so wrong. Do you usually prefer left or right shoulder?

Mumdiva99 · 01/01/2022 00:38

Of course not.

But it's not good for your shoulder. Have you tried a cross body bag?

Fromage · 01/01/2022 00:39

Has someone objected?

Nostrings457 · 01/01/2022 00:40

YABU - this is absurd to even consider it. Grin

borisisaknob · 01/01/2022 00:40

Maybe try a cross body bag first to get you used to it?
Otherwise you are doomed
Sorry

Toothiehurtie · 01/01/2022 00:41

The shoulder I normally wear on is completely fucked and I have three handbags that Need to be worn on one shoulder. It feels very odd to wear on the wrong side. Is it possible!?! I want a story’s of hope

ParkheadParadise · 01/01/2022 00:41

No, my bag only goes on my right shoulder.
If I'm carrying my bag it's on my left arm 👜👛👜

Skiptheheartsandflowers · 01/01/2022 00:41

Agree it's impossible. I've tried and it just falls off. Echo the suggestions of a cross body bag to balance you up a bit.

SpornStar · 01/01/2022 00:44

I have spent the last 7 weeks with my right hand in a cast and I’m still struggling with the simple things like wiping my arse with my left hand so I’m voting that you could probably do it but it’ll take ages to adapt and it’ll never feel right.

CointreauVersial · 01/01/2022 00:44

Impossible! Cannot be done!

I switched to cross-body bags a few years ago, and now I can't even manage the original shoulder. Cross-body is the answer.

Toothiehurtie · 01/01/2022 00:46

Shall i try? Be rogue? Someone must have done it

OP posts:
MsAgnesDiPesto · 01/01/2022 00:46

Impossible, and I had to try for the same reason. Now switched to fancy backpack style bags, at least until my shoulder heals.

daisyjgrey · 01/01/2022 00:48

If anyone has done this successfully, they are clearly a witch.

Truth.
StrawberrySquash · 01/01/2022 00:51

I swapped as a teenager when I hurt my arm

Wacadu · 01/01/2022 00:53

Shoulder issues meant I couldn't use my normal arm. Totally failed using the other arm. Cross- body bags work for me now.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 01/01/2022 00:53

Not a hope

Lillyhatesjaz · 01/01/2022 00:53

I recently got a backpack as DD pointed out I have an actual dent in my shoulder from bags. I love the backpack

WayneBruce · 01/01/2022 00:55

No chance. Sorry.

ErrolTheDragon · 01/01/2022 01:00

Perhaps the answer is to get an actual handbag (like the queen) rather than a shoulder bag?
I do sometimes swap my bag to the 'wrong' shoulder, and also it's long enough to wear cross body so the bag is still on the right side. Though for most of the last couple of years I've been using a backpack or just carry my keys and phone in the map pocket of my coat.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 01/01/2022 01:05

Switched to using backpacks for daily life a few years ago. Absolute game changer and improved my life so much!

Only use handbags on nights out now

Flavabobble · 01/01/2022 01:06

It's not often that I use a handbag, but when I do I swap the shoulders at random to prevent this weak shoulder malarkey.

Staffy1 · 01/01/2022 01:10

Nope, can’t be done. Try wearing it across body until bag shoulder heals.
