To take my Christmas tree down tomorrow?

We've had a nice (if quiet) Christmas, but we're not doing anything on New Year's Eve and we have no guests expected until after then.

It hasn't been up very long, but there just doesn't seem any point in leaving it up.

YABU = No! leave it up until 6th Jan.
YANBU = Bye, tree!

I took mine down this evening. Usually I leave it up until the new year but DS got a huge train station you for Xmas and it was making the room so cramped so I took it down. So much more space now

I don't understand the sentiment that a Christmas tree is only for the benefit of guests?

If you like it keep it up.

If its annoying you take it down.

Mine came down 28th...... so did my daughters....once the presents are gone I'm ready for it to come down

Personally I like to keep it for the 12 day of Christmas, and enjoy seeing others for the full length of time. However it's a free country so do what's best for you.

I like keeping it for as long as possible but got rid boxing day because it turned my cat into a right c**t for the entire time it was up.
Now he's not messing about climbing in it and running the decorationss and is lovely as ever again!

I took mine down on the 27th. It was annoying me taking up space and the room felt cluttered.

Mine are coming down tomorrow, along with the decs. Leaving the fairy light outside and on the mantel and shelves but the trees are going. The house needs a good hoover and clean without 539382 trinkets and sparkly shit on every surface

Take it down when you want . Ours are coming down on Friday , much as I love them as it’s the most convenient day .

I took mine down on the 28th. It was too near the radiator and all the branches had drooped with ornaments falling to the floor. The dog spent its days trying to pull things from it. I usually leave it up until the new year but I couldn't wait to take it down this year!
I'm the person who puts it up and takes it down so its another job I could tick off my list!

Put it up when you want and take it down when you want, just don't announce it on social media.

Took our tree down a couple of days ago before dh left to go to work (works abroad and is away for a few weeks/months) and while he was home to help. Also put it up early for the same reason.
