To ask if you've regifted anything already?

I have. Pink gin miniatures and a huge box of Ferrero Rocher. Can't stand either of them, so they've already gone to different neighbours who will enjoy them! Yes, they know they are regifts (we're all friends).

Have you or will you be regifting anything?

Not exactly - I gave away a bother of port I’d bought for myself to someone who had bought me a gift - when we don’t normally exchange gifts

JaceLancs · 26/12/2021 00:27

Bottle not bother!

whatnumber · 26/12/2021 00:48

Regifted two boxes of chocolate and didn't feel the need to disclose this top secret information Wink

Innatenvi · 26/12/2021 00:49

I regifted some marzipan chocolate to someone who loves marzipan (I don't.)

ParkheadParadise · 26/12/2021 00:55

Not exactly a re-gift but I gave my nephew a box of beer that we didn't open today.
Gave my sister a tub of celebrations and a bottle of Vodka + a bottle of lemonade.

Lottapianos · 26/12/2021 01:06

Yes, probably everything my family bought me. Slippers and pyjamas that I don't need and perfume I won't wear. Would rather they went to a good home so will give them to charity shop

ChimpyChops · 26/12/2021 01:28

A candle I will never use, tropical something or other. My ex husband who comes for Christmas said he would so regifted straight away!

PaulaTrilloe · 26/12/2021 01:40

I regifted my big box of Swizzells sweeties that a colleague gave me (her OH works there!) to my French neices today. They love novelty quirky UK things like Love Hearts! Their Grandma liked the Parma Violets. I will be regifting the French chocs I got today as a new year surprise for my colleague. Might arrange a sweet exchange to counter BREXIT bitterness!

wobblywinelover · 26/12/2021 01:42

I plan to leave my gifted box if chocs to work colleagues where they will be more appreciated. I get them every time for Christmas and birthday off the same person but can't stand them sadly. Haven't got the heart to be honest with them as they are going through hard times and don't want to offend

violetbunny · 26/12/2021 02:32

Is it possible to regift members of my family? I'm not sure who would have them, but I'm hopeful Grin

JustLyra · 26/12/2021 06:58

We had a last minute extra guest so we regifted a couple of sweets and a toiletry set so they had something to open at least.

MelonTits · 26/12/2021 07:00

DS got a duplicate toy from a friend which will be passed to the neighbours’ DS for his first birthday in the spring.

MintToBee · 26/12/2021 07:01

I have two bottles of alcohol here I'll be leaving free to a good home at work. I don't drink.

GoodnightGrandma · 26/12/2021 07:03

A candle melt thing will be going to the charity shop, and any food/drink I don’t want to my DP’s.

GoodnightGrandma · 26/12/2021 07:04

And any chocolate/biscuits will go into work. It will get eaten there.

VeryNiceWoman · 26/12/2021 07:11

A reed diffuser & a vase (perfumed items including flowers trigger migraines for me) reed diffuser added as an extra to someone else’s gift. Vase will be donated to Charity Shop.

ShippingNews · 26/12/2021 07:18

No, but I'm pretty sure I was regifted something. A beautiful Molton Brown reed diffuser , which my sister sent me. I love it , which is really unusual because she normally sends me weird / odd gifts which nobody would ever actually want !

Yesterday I was talking to my adult DD, and she asked what my sister had sent. As I described it, I got a vibe that she knew exactly what I was talking about, which fragrance etc. I'm 100% sure that my daughter had given it to my sister , probably for her birthday not long ago. Of course I'll never say anything to either of them.....I do love it , so it doesn't matter what it's provenance is !

Fendidntdrake · 26/12/2021 07:21

Well, I did pass on a sugar mouse...

WhatScratch · 26/12/2021 07:24

’A candle I will never use, tropical something or other. My ex husband who comes for Christmas … ’

I though that was a list at first Grin

RedHot22 · 26/12/2021 07:24

No
I have loved all my lovely thoughtful gifts Smile My family are excellent gifters

PatchworkElmer · 26/12/2021 07:25

I got a couple of things I can’t use (because they’re not vegan) so gave them to my Mum who was quite pleased about it!

echt · 26/12/2021 07:28

I've been given three separate gifts of candles. As much as I love the idea of them, my house is composed of wood, bar the brick stumps and steel roof. In Australia. So a no.

I've given them to my DD.

blueflowersinthesnow · 26/12/2021 07:28

Some chocolates, but otherwise nothing else. I did pretty well this year for presents.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 26/12/2021 07:33

Almost. 3 big tubs Quality Street etc ready to go to the food bank on Wednesday. One of husband’s workforce gives us 3 every year.

Bloodybridget · 26/12/2021 07:33

A litre of Bailey's given by neighbours went to DP's DD and son-in-law. Scented tealights will go to charity shop, as will a 12-y-o pub guide and a book of German baking recipes. But no-one gave us bath products thank goodness (we gave away some of last year's, this time).
