Am I a prude?

A simple question really.
If you have sex on the sofa in your living room, would you clean the sofa afterwards?

My friend thinks no, I think yes. She thinks I'm being unreasonable but the idea of family/friends sitting on the sofa afterwards, to me is icky.
What are your views?

My views? Is sofa cleaning all you can find to talk about with your friend?

I guess it depends if you got it messy......

If there is a “mess” then yeah clean it otherwise nope.

It wouldn't even cross my mind to clean it unless it was visibly dirty..

We always have sex in the lounge, and always bring the duvet in from bedroom to lay on sofa.

Not prudish, just hygienic. Sofas can be tricky to clean

God no. We’ve done it on the sofa loads of times. Nothing a baby wipe won’t fix.

What are your friend’s thoughts on the kitchen worktop? I’d probably want to give that a bit of a squirt with the Mr Muscle.

I don’t even allow food and drink on my sofa without a throw under! (Didn’t come from money, it’s my first new sofa ever - for context). If you are a prude then lord knows what that makes me?!

We do this a lot and we always put something on it first. Towel or something.

Hell yeah, clean it afterwards . Even if nothing is stained or anything, I couldn't not wipe it down afterwards if I knew people were going to sit on it.

I'm afraid the chairs aren't safe in our place either. Or some of the counter tops.

But like I said, we always put something down.

Depends if it needs cleaning, no point if you haven’t left any evidence behind.

Not unless it was dirty/ wet e.g. there had been leakage.

Kitchen worktops I'd wipe down but because I put food on them. A sofa only has other people's clothed lower halves on.

Doesn’t anyone just have spontaneous sex sometimes? I can’t imagine getting it on with dh and then suddenly bolting off to get a towel out of the airing cupboard to protect the sofa 😳😆
