To think Boris should be fired/resign over this

170,000 people dead.

People couldn’t visit loved ones in hospital on their deathbed.

People couldn’t attend funerals of their family.

All of us had to put up with Xmas without our friends and family.

And these knob heads had a party. Absolute joke

@overthethamesfromyou

It wasn't in his flat Smile

10 Downing Street is mostly offices and reception rooms!

True. The one on the 18th wasn’t in his flat but downstairs.

However there is talk that there were others that were in his flat.

Boris has realised what Trump did: apathy among the general public is so entrenched, and the desire to keep one's hands on the levers of power and ones nose in the trough is so powerful among right wing politicians (well ok just politicians mostly), that actually once you're the leader you can do and say pretty much whatever the fuck you like and no-one with the power to do anything about it will bestir themselves to do so.

He should resign. Over this, Patterson, a hundred other things, and for the simple reason he is utterly incompetent and intellectually and morally deficient for the job. But he won't. He'll keep his trotters on the wheel by hell or high water until the next general election. If he hasn't found a way to do away with general elections by then. And then the nation will probably vote him back in anyway because they are by and large as fucking thick as bricks and think he's a "good guy" because he makes jokes at the dispatch box and has fucking stupid hair.

When I have been abroad, because I got so fed up of being asked about Brexit and Boris Johnson, I now hide the fact of coming from these shores. Nothing worn that could identify me as being British, speak French if I don't speak the local language.

I hope one day I can feel able to be proud again of my country.

CBroads · 08/12/2021 21:34

People's loved ones literally died alone, while he's having a jolly old time with his friends? It's plain cruel.

It's absolutely abysmal behaviour.
This man kept us away from family and friends for the best part of a year, he needs to be sanctioned for this.

gofg · 08/12/2021 21:35

Great post @bergam

Mayorquimby2 · 08/12/2021 21:38

The people who voted for him have got exactly who they voted for. There's zero surprise in any of this.

Same with the open corruption of the police force saying there's not enough evidence to investigate. Literally everyone who enters that building is documented along with the time they spent there.

There's more available evidence than any other party that was prosecuted.

the80sweregreat · 08/12/2021 21:45

Cressida Dick is besties with Boris and chums, the police won't be falling over themselves to sort this one out or the signing in book might mysteriously go missing for that night !
They may even have had an invite .
Nothing this shower do or say surprise me anymore.

lightisnotwhite · 08/12/2021 21:46

But it’s not true he’s incompetent is it.
He managed the shit show of Brexit where half the country voted out whilst the other half where ready to leave unless we stayed in ( including his dad). Neither Cameron or Teresa May had any idea how to go forward with this.
We had a lot of Covid deaths but then we didn’t have police at the end of the road ticking off your paperwork or curfews. We had a speedy vaccine and a very efficient furlough scheme.

People's loved ones literally died alone, while he's having a jolly old time with his friends? It's plain cruel.
People’s loved ones died everywhere alone. Did you see the horrors in Italy?
Boris got Covid himself and ended up being rushed to hospital. We’re you having a jolly time then? Maybe.

I’m not a actually a Boris fan. I think he bottled it after the Brexit result. That was weak. But I hate the pile in. You can’t complain about not being allowed to go to funerals, or care homes and then complain that too many have died ( mostly through spread).

Gooseysgirl · 08/12/2021 21:47

YANBU but it won't happen 🤷🏻‍♀️

He very much IS incompetent though...
Mayorquimby2 · 08/12/2021 22:01

"then we didn’t have police at the end of the road ticking off your paperwork or curfews."

You had police stopping people from buying things they deemed non essential when they were already in the shop and you had people being prosecuted for going for a walk in non athletic clothing. While others were allowed drive a hundred miles in the opposite direction of their destination to test their eyes being deemed ok by the PM.
"People’s loved ones died everywhere alone."

Which isn't the criticism. The criticism is people died alone because of laws enacted by his government that he has decided don't apply to him, his partner or his mates. If people had died alone under the rules and he had been also following them then you couldn't label him a hypocrite because, as you say, people died alone all over the world due to lockdown restrictions. And in any one of those countries if it came out that the leader of the government had decided to flout them or give their mates a pass then they'd be criticized too and they have been the world over.

As for putting brexit in the win column ...

gofg · 09/12/2021 05:49

We had a lot of Covid deaths but then we didn’t have police at the end of the road ticking off your paperwork or curfews. We had a speedy vaccine and a very efficient furlough scheme.

Many other countries could say the same - but without a lot of Covid deaths.

GrandmasCat · 09/12/2021 06:01

Honestly, I thought he would go the moment he disolved Parliament to get Brexit going. That would have been considered a coup de etat in most countries, but people didn’t care or realised about the magnitude of it so I think that this Christmas party will be just another thing that will be excused, covered up and forgotten.

PAFMO · 09/12/2021 06:06

He won't resign and he'd get voted in again tomorrow if there was an election.
The fact that everybody (me included) calls him "Boris" is exactly what his publicity machine has always dressed him up as. Loveable dafty. He's anything but. He's a dangerous sociopath.
You only have to look at threads on here about how "well" the govt has handled the pandemic to see that turkeys really do vote for Christmas.

GrandmasCat · 09/12/2021 06:19

Oh they do, lower income families are the ones more affected by Tories’ changes but they are the ones who keep them in power. Most of them simply do not understand about taxes and economy, so they don’t realise they are voting for Tories as turkeys voting for Christmas.

HalfWomanHalfMincePie · 09/12/2021 06:23

Of course he should go. The parties and the lies will result in deaths because no one trusts what the government says now over covid (or anything). He's not a bumbling fool, he's a dangerous and immoral narcissist.

He is Chief Liar in a House of Lies.

The hell with all of them.

PlumManor · 09/12/2021 06:30

The greased piglet will slip away again

rrhuth · 09/12/2021 06:32

...he'd get voted in again tomorrow if there was an election. Not according to polling which currently suggests the Tories would lose their majority. The latest polls I have seen all have fieldwork done before the Stratton video was aired.

zoemum2006 · 09/12/2021 06:37

I think he should have been fired when it was clear he was on the take (“donations” lol).

And when he tried to change the rules to protect the MP who got caught with his fingers in the till.

And now this: he was either breaking the rules/ law or he had no control over his staff having parties in his house Hmm

rrhuth · 09/12/2021 06:43

I think he should have been fired

Who 'fires' the PM? He's the PM.

zoemum2006 · 09/12/2021 06:45

His MP’s fire him in a vote of no confidence.

devildeepbluesea · 09/12/2021 06:45

Exactly why I never call this individual by his first name. He's no friend of mine - or anyone else posting on here for that matter.

He's filth. The lies and the deceit are bad enough, but it's the shameless corruption which angers me even more. Spunking billions of our cash to line his and his arsehole mates' pockets. Getting all us stupid fuckers (not me,!) to stand at our doorsteps banging pots and pans in the name of our 'NHS heroes" whilst he systematically takes the NHS apart and starves it of the oxygen of funding.

I'm continually baffled that the British public falls for this complete cunt every time, makes excuses.for him and sucks up all the shit like good little serfs.

But yes. There's no one even vaguely ethical to replace him in that total shower of shit party.

Pixxie7 · 09/12/2021 06:49

It will be interesting what his old pal Dominic Cummins has to say, I am sure he will happily throw him under a bus. The thing that I don’t understand is why he has to keep lying.

Theunamedcat · 09/12/2021 06:51

The police won't investigate due to lack of evidence apparently

And like a lot ofvwomen I've heard those words before usually when I'm covered in bruises

Nothinbut · 09/12/2021 06:51

Of course he should, doubt he will though. Who would take over from him as well, someone equally terrible I suppose.
