To think Boris should be fired/resign over this

170,000 people dead.

People couldn’t visit loved ones in hospital on their deathbed.

People couldn’t attend funerals of their family.

All of us had to put up with Xmas without our friends and family.

And these knob heads had a party. Absolute joke

It's a bloody disgrace, but he won't resign. If he is sacked (I doubt that), who would take his place? They're all hypocrites. The rich and the famous all have a set of rules that are very different from the rest of us. The Beckhams, Ramsays, then Piers Morgan, (and many more) all had holidays when the rest of us were in lockdown.

prynaithda21 · 08/12/2021 20:41

@Freddiefox in terms of personal morals, probably all the likely candidates. Definitely in terms of work ethic.

I agree the Conservative Party is rotten, just as we have a government of that party at least until 2024, think someone other than Mr Johnson will cause less damage.

Babybooboodedoo · 08/12/2021 20:41

YANBU he needs to go ASAP.

rrhuth · 08/12/2021 20:41

He can't be fired and he won't resign, sorry

AnotherOneWithNoGoodName · 08/12/2021 20:41

People I work with are already defending him.
"He may not have been there" (it was in his house either way)
"He works hard and needs a break" (GTFO)
etc etc
So I doubt anything will stick to him

rrhuth · 08/12/2021 20:43

He works hard and needs a break he really doesn't

OldaRailer · 08/12/2021 20:43

@rrhuth

He can't be fired and he won't resign, sorry
This is why he needs barracking.
BrilliantBetty · 08/12/2021 20:44

Yes, there should be some sort of coup. Enough is enough.

prynaithda21 · 08/12/2021 20:46

@AnotherOneWithNoGoodName sorry to read that you work with such people. I'm glad I don't.

Eurgh, the worst are the ones who bleat 'aww he's doing his best!'

Well, that may be, but his best is shit so that's no defence Confused

MushMonster · 08/12/2021 20:51

If they actually had a party this is disgusting.
But so is to bring it up now, and not then? I am fed up of the media stirring shit.
He will never ever resign though.

@DrManhattan

I feel like I'm watching a live action episode of in the Thick of It.
Is what I said while watching the prep conference where they were giggling like loons.
lightisnotwhite · 08/12/2021 20:54

I wish he’d tell the moaning, whinging country to fuck off and take his money to somewhere lovely where he doesn’t get every bit of his policies, looks and personality slagged off.

Be careful what you wish for.

But it’s fine because every other leader after him can blame whatever crap they have on Boris. At least he rolls with the punches.

Mybalconyiscracking · 08/12/2021 20:56

I think he’s better than any current alternative tbf. Labour are a joke!

OldaRailer · 08/12/2021 20:56

😂poor Boris definitely doesn't deserve the moany UK public: that's a fresh take!

Hearwego · 08/12/2021 20:56

Boris is like teflon.
How does he get away with everything he does?
To think he actually brought in Plan B tonight just to deflect from today’s news.
It’s actually criminal what’s going on yet we all just go along with it.
What’s wrong with us all?

Nayday · 08/12/2021 20:59

@lightisnotwhite - yes he does rather "roll with the punches" doesn't he? Almost like he invites them really 🤔, I suppose he gets a lot of practice given his track record for fucking up.

That's the most damning, hilarious praise I think I have read of him though 😂

Actually come to think of it - is that you Allegra?

JabNotInArm · 08/12/2021 21:00

He might just be digging his own grave

There are a few none-rule breaking parties being talked about, the one mentioned in the video, one in the flat, one leaving do where BJ made a speech so def knew it was happening and the Christmas/Childcare 'bubble' that BJ and Carrie allegedly had with Nimco Ali who was with them over Christmas. Also Gavin Williamson's Dept of Education gathering.

Hmm
FleetwoodRaincoat · 08/12/2021 21:03

If he were to go he'd only be replaced by an equally unpleasant, uncaring tosspot. The only real change that can come about is to not vote Conservative at the next election. Get rid of this disgraceful mob. Truly the worst government we've ever had.

They just make it up as they go along don’t they? Not only incompetent people in the cabinet but also liars.

MadeOfStarStuff · 08/12/2021 21:07

He’s been like this the entire time he’s been in power so nobody should be remotely surprised. Literally the only honest words he’s ever said is at the beginning of the pandemic when he said peoples loved ones would die. Although he left out that his appalling “leadership” would cause thousands of those deaths while making millions of £ for his mates.

bergam · 08/12/2021 21:08

I am not in UK so forgive me if I misunderstand anything in your parliamentary system. This type of behaviour would not go unchallenged in most other countries, the opposition would be baying for blood and sooner or later the miscreant would be brought to heel. But not, it seems in UK. Must be such a tolerant nation to put up with such brazen behaviour from an idiot such as he is.

Anyway, looking on I get a feeling that he is enjoying the attention, still playing the clown and looking like someone you would be embarrassed to bring anywhere with his scruffy look.

He is too lazy to resign, tell the truth, or do the right things for his country. I am baffled that he has lasted as long as this!

But there is no democracy in UK anyway from what I can see. FPTP means the smaller parties and independents will never ever get an opportunity to represent other voters' views as would happen under PR, which is totally representative. So Yin and Yang carry on forever, Blue for a few years, then Red for another stint. It is fascinating to watch, and I do not mean to be disrespectful of anyone, but most people must be mortified with the antics of the man. Imagine he is representing you at home and on the world stage as a "Sovereign" nation post Brexit. That's up next and Covid has just delayed the fallout for now.

DrSbaitso · 08/12/2021 21:11

Of course he should, but he won't. Stratton and maybe one or two others will be the fall guys and he'll stay on.

The only way to get rid of this reptilian lot is to vote them out.
