She'll be some collateral damage surely?

OP posts:
3WildOnes · 08/12/2021 13:31

I think she left a while ago.

DoThePropeller · 08/12/2021 13:35

She was moved to cover COP26 comms working for Alok Sharma, it’s hard to see her coming out of it unscathed. Unless she’s willing to take everyone down with her of course!

babouchette · 08/12/2021 13:42

Rishi Sunak is godfather to her kids. I'm pretty sure she'll emerge from this unscathed.

Hoppinggreen · 08/12/2021 13:43

They wouldn’t dare, she knows too much

TheArgentineFanjo · 08/12/2021 13:43

What are the odds she’ll just pop up in another well-paid role in a few months?

titchy · 08/12/2021 13:44

She'll be fine! She's not even in that role anymore anyway.

hygtt · 08/12/2021 13:45

What are the odds she’ll just pop up in another well-paid role in a few months?

depressingly high

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 08/12/2021 13:47

At this point I think I am in "Camp Whow Cares"

They, amd Mogg, were doing what every other bigger aound me seemed to be doing way back then - make a joke about it and do as you please. It was a year ago. I'd rather we got on with whatever it is we need to be doing now.

We can always have the full inquiry later.

Fomofo · 08/12/2021 14:49

She's so posh and privileged I'm sure she'll be just fine

KrispyKale · 08/12/2021 14:51

She will be on the media / government big jobs conveyer belt. It will mean nothing.

Iggly · 08/12/2021 15:50

@Fomofo

She's so posh and privileged I'm sure she'll be just fine
This. Best mates with Rishi, she’ll be fine.
Oddbutnotodd · 08/12/2021 15:50

She’s resigned

daimbarsatemydogsbone · 08/12/2021 15:52

I wonder if she'll be wheeled out all over the BBC like Vicky Pryce was after she got out of jail

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 08/12/2021 15:53

She has gone. Cue a sideways move when the fuss has died down.

florafoxtrot · 08/12/2021 15:54
and there she goes...

www.theguardian.com/politics/2021/dec/08/allegra-stratton-leaves-cop26-role-after-no-10-christmas-party-video
Wonder if Rees-Mogg will do the same? I would doubt it.

AnyFucker · 08/12/2021 15:54

She looked pissed in that “mock” press conference. Have another champers, dahling.

LiterallyKnowsBest · 08/12/2021 15:58

daimbarsatemydogsbone - I had thought I was the only person in the world who remembered or cared about that … I can never forget the harm done to the third person involved.

Whatever happened to them?

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 08/12/2021 15:59

So she's resigned from a job she no longer held anyway?

Ok

Moneypennysfreedomfund · 08/12/2021 16:03

She’s gone!

OmgIThinkILikeYou · 08/12/2021 16:03

We need to be asking why this has come out now? What are we being distracted from?

WomanStanleyWoman · 08/12/2021 16:19

Haha. Have you seen the video of her crying crocodile tears? Pass me a barf bag.

HoardingSamphireSaurus · 08/12/2021 16:25

@OmgIThinkILikeYou

We need to be asking why this has come out now? What are we being distracted from?
That might better express what my fat , arthritic fingers typed.

I don't care. Move on. Do your job. Stop distracting us with 12 month old news.

521Jeanie · 08/12/2021 16:29

But what about the others who were in the room with her? Three men in the video - they haven't resigned, not even Ed Oldfield who asked the question. Why it always the woman who gets to take the flak?

StrychnineInTheSandwiches · 08/12/2021 16:31

She wasn't even at the feckin' party. Compare and contrast with Hancock who clung on for as long as he could even though he'd blatantly broken rules.
