I want to take my children to HP world but there are no available dates before February 22
AIBU to think I might be able to find a way to score some tickets for dates between 23-31 December?

Doubtful, they are already on sale to the end of next year and I would imagine Christmas is one of the first times to sell out because people want to do Christmas in the great hall and things

milkjetmum · 06/12/2021 14:18

Looks possible if you are willing to pay for some extras e.g. tickets.london/gt/tour/warner-bros-studio-tour-london-the-making-of-harry-potter-with-return-transportation-/321

Soubriquet · 06/12/2021 14:19

Not a chance. If they say there is nothing available till February then there isn’t

Buy them for February and put a note in the dc presents saying that’s where they are going?

XelaM · 06/12/2021 14:21

Is Harry Potter World the same as the Warner Bros Tour? The website for the latter says they have "limited" tickets for 2021

Hollyrose79 · 06/12/2021 14:41

It's possible, they do crop up. I booked some on Thursday just gone for a visit on Saturday! You just have to keep refreshing and be lucky to book them in time. I was pretty lucky and got 4 tickets for 10.30 on Saturday. Good luck, it's such a great day out.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 06/12/2021 14:43

Why would you expect to be able to at such incredibly short notice? I mean you might be lucky but it astounds me anyone would think it could be booked within the month.

Feb 2022 is really soon! It’s brilliant you can get tickets as last minute as this.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 06/12/2021 14:44

It is fantastic when you get there - even if you don’t like HP!

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 06/12/2021 14:46

Saying Jan 22 when i look

Get them vouchers for Christmas then just book it, the slots are the slots I think.

Angel2702 · 06/12/2021 15:08

When I tried in the summer it was fully booked for the rest of this year apart from a few odd weekdays.

NellePorter · 06/12/2021 15:54

If you're in the North of England, try the Forbidden Forest experience, my DC said it was better than the studio tour.

Bunnycat101 · 06/12/2021 16:36

I think it’s common for it to be booked up far ahead unfortunately. I had a friend who was going to do a birthday trip for her daughter in the autumn but couldn’t get tickets for months.

HappySonHappyMum · 06/12/2021 16:39

We've been three times - it's soooo worth the wait!

Shopaholic100 · 06/12/2021 22:10

Keep checking, we found tickets for a week later, when we checked the website at 5am! When previously there were no available tickets. With people isolating due to Covid there may be people who need to cancel last minute. We went 2 weeks ago it was brilliant, make sure you take your time going round (leave anyone impatient at home), we spent about 5 hours there. Don’t buy too many butter beers/butter beer ice creams until your sure you like the taste, it’s quite sweet and I really didn’t like it.

Shopaholic100 · 06/12/2021 22:12

Make sure you take a power bank (my phone battery was dead by the end) and take lots of pictures 😀.

minipie · 06/12/2021 22:26

Any more tips from those who have been? (sorry for the hijack) taking DCs in January.

Freddiefox · 06/12/2021 22:31

Keep checking, we looked and it was all booked, but they must have released more as we got some for the following month.

TheresAStarmanWaitingInTheSky · 06/12/2021 22:31

Can I just say we used one of those external companies to get tickets, they cancelled our tickets 5 days before we were due to go. This was around 4 years ago. Caused so much stress. I managed to get last minute tickets through HPW after explaining we were cancelled last minute.

Terminallysleepdeprived · 06/12/2021 22:34

I had to book in July to get tickets for 28th Dec. Wish you the best of luck @fenulla! It's an amazing day out

Needsleep32 · 06/12/2021 22:39

There are tickets available now for this Thursday and Friday @fenulla

whenwillthemadnessend · 06/12/2021 22:48

With covid isolations you will get last min slots crop up so if your willing to call the call centre regularly you might get lucky.

WhatsTheEffingPoint · 06/12/2021 23:06

Keep checking the website they do pop up.

Tips....Power pack for your phone, or lots of batteries for a separate camera as there are loads of photo opportunities.

Have a look on the shop website before you go to get an idea of prices. There are 2 other shops along the way round, it's not all available in the main shop at the end.

Food is OK, not the greatest/pricey so maybe take your own snacks for the cafe area.

Don't rush, ask the staff questions they are knowledgeable.

BarkminsterBlue · 06/12/2021 23:07

Another recommendation for the Forbidden Forest - we loved it.

PyjamaMamma · 06/12/2021 23:12

Took DD on New Year’s Day a few years ago, bought tickets in September, availability was already a bit limited.
