Fray Bentos impossible to open?

I have been trying to open a tin of Fray Bentos steak and onion. My trusty tin openers have both been used. They manage to open everything else but Fray Bentos it just won't budge.

I had to throw it away now as bits of the tin were open and no knife went through which I have tried in the past.

How does anybody open up the blighters? I was looking forward to my customary one Fray Bentos per winter season!

Reader, I opened one! With a Culinare MagiCan tin opener. Would you like to know the secret?

You attach the tin opener in the usual way, but then turn the tin and the tin opener upside down. This allows you to tilt the tin opener up slightly, so the cutting wheel presses more closely against the slanting side of the tin, and therefore cuts more deeply through the metal, thus opening it.
