Sat with group of mums yesterday lunch time. One said she and a friend had booked a spa weekend. I said “what treatments are you having”. Another mum spat her drink out and repeated “ooo let’s all have treatments”
The woman went on to say what treatments she was planning and the other woman kept saying “treatments” over and over again. A WhatsApp group was created for us that day and it is called “treatments”. Is this a dig or what?? Have i said something wrong or am I being paranoid? I don’t socialise much so my judgement may be way off.

She sounds like a cunt.

They might have had a previous in joke about it, just ask them on the WhatsApp before you read too much into it

The only thing I can think of is that they're doing one of those days where you pay for access to the spa (saunas, steam rooms, plunge pools etc) but not actually having any treatments themselves? A spa near me does a 'hydrotherapy journey' through various hot/cold pools and steam rooms and stuff, and you'd have to pay for actual treatments on top. But even so why not just go "Oh no, I'm just going to piss about by the pool and steam myself!"?

Very weird - she was obviously trying to imply you were being uppity or fancy or something by asking that, but I really don't know why other than that she's a dick!

The woman who was going to the Spa was actually having treatments done though as she told the OP what ones, it was one of the other women (who presumably wasn't going to the Spa) started repeating the word treatments

I don't know but I asked on a local Facebook group for recommendations for a facial and this man said I might want to amend my post as it sounded rude . Some people are just idiots.

Set up a WhatsApp group called 'Dicks', add Treatments woman and her friend, and then leave the group.

Just say ‘this is going over my head, you’re going to have to spell it out for me, what’s so funny about treatments?’. See what she says, she’ll most likely end up looking like a twat, but there’s a small chance it’s something else you don’t know about.

That’s what they are called. They are being dicks for no clear reason. There’s clearly an in joke so I’d ask them to fill you in on what is so entertaining.
