Ridiculous Road Rage Incident

ALittleBitWorrriedNow · 10/11/2021 19:27

I just want to vent really 😒

I’ve just been road-raged by a young man and his partner who then went on to call me a “f*#%ing spastic”. I mean, who the hell uses language like that these days?!

It was totally my right of way as I was turning right into my road (side road) from the main road but he obviously thought it was ok to pull out first which would have meant I’d have to then wait for another gap in the traffic and hold up everyone behind me.

He was totally in the wrong yet behaved so angrily - flippin bully 😤

Arseholes. Don't give it a seconds thought. Some people are just arseholes. This thread is a c bomb waiting to happen.

MrsDeaconClaybourne · 10/11/2021 19:32

I had something similar happened to me recently. Two blokes refused to let me get past and shouted, made various hand gestures etc. Completely disproportionate and really weird. I just sat and waited and eventually they reversed - still shouting and flicking the Vs. I nearly started a thread myself at the time

ShirleyPhallus · 10/11/2021 19:32

What a horrendously vintage insult. What awful language.

Don’t give it another thought OP, you were in the right and he’s obviously a prick

Veryverycalmnow · 10/11/2021 19:35

What an awful thing for them to say. Last time I heard that word was the 80s. I agree that the language used makes it even more of a ridiculous incident!
Hope you're ok OP.

Onlinedilema · 10/11/2021 19:35

Some people are rude, entitled idiots.
My daughter had a women call her a Fucking Bitch at work because the women was not entitled to a full refund as per company (and statutory) policy.
It's just rude.

PintOfCoffeePlease · 10/11/2021 19:37

Same today. I was merging left into a gap in slow moving traffic, everyone was politely going one by one as you do. I indicated and started to move left and this ridiculous woman in a giant car behind put her foot down to shoot past me and stop me merging - only there wasn’t room so she ended up partially on the pavement almost hitting a lamppost. She then swerved violently back toward me and almost hit me, and gave me the most aggressive middle finger I’ve ever seen (actual teeth bared, never seen anything like it). I just moved back and let her past but it’s been pissing me off since it happened. Thanks for the rant OP - no YANBU and neither was I!

SummerHouse What’s a C Bomb? C word that’s not cunt??

Road rage is never nice. The bloke and his passenger sound like right cockwombles. If you have a dash am, and it caught them yelling at you, I'd report them to police. Hope you're feeling less shook up now.

I'd only been driving a few weeks, and a white van driver cut me off and yelled "fuck off" to me. That was 13 years ago and still makes me wince.

Why did you only blank fucking out, and not the awful S word though? The S word is a disablist term and far worse than fucking.

Wheresmywoolyjumpers · 10/11/2021 19:53

Driving while in possession of a penis - maybe it should be against the law? (only joking NAMALT brigade, but it does seem that a lot of young men drive aggressively and like total arses).

CaptainThe95thRifles · 10/11/2021 20:05

The behaviour is par for the course - there are a lot of awful, aggressive drivers on the road who don't even seem to have had passing acquaintance with the HWC - but the choice of language is really fucking appalling.

IAAP · 10/11/2021 20:05

This is why I have a dash cam

nothingcanhurtmewithmyeyesshut · 10/11/2021 20:12

Some twat cut me up on a roundabout earlier.

Most piss easy roundabout you've ever seen. 4
exits. 3 lanes. The right lane is right turn only, for exits 3 and 4, middle lane goes straight over and left lane is left turn only. Very clearly marked.

But oh no, Cunty McTwatula wanted to go straight over in the right lane and then decided to swear and shout. Seemed quite surprised when I followed him into the car park and demanded to know who taught him to fucking drive. Wasn't so ballsy face to face. Prick.

NeverDropYourMoonCup · 10/11/2021 20:12

@IAAP

This is why I have a dash cam
And why DP walks or takes the bus rather than driving.
ALittleBitWorrriedNow · 10/11/2021 20:19

AdditionalCharacter sorry you’re absolutely right, I should have blanked it out. It’s such a horrible term and I’m so shocked that people still think it’s even vaguely ok to use it.

SummerHouse What’s a C Bomb? C word that’s not cunt??
The c bomb is the c word OP. I don't know how you dare type it when you #%$£ out the word fucking. 😂
Sausagedogsarethebest · 10/11/2021 20:27

Lots of people on the roads these days are very aggressive and don't give way. They know they're in the wrong which is why they swear and gesticulate at you if you call them out or so much as look at them.

That 'S' word seems to be rearing it's head again lately. I heard my own 22yr old daughter say it last week (she can be a mouthy wotsit at times) and I gave her short shrift about how disgusting it was to use it as an insult. I can tolerate a bit of swearing but not using words like that.

VeniVidiWeeWee · 10/11/2021 20:30

What made you sure it was your right of way?

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 10/11/2021 20:34

Had a twat encounter too last week. How he was able to so animatedly keep on flipping the V’s while driving at high speed (for a 20mph road), it’s quite a mystery.

ThePlumVan · 10/11/2021 20:34

Had one of these the other day. I’m still annoyed by it.

The fact they used disgusting language like that says everything though.

WonderfulYou · 10/11/2021 20:36

His attitude and language was disgusting but I’d try not to think too much about it as it could have genuinely shook them up and they lashed out.
Still completely unacceptable though!

Marmight · 10/11/2021 20:36

@VeniVidiWeeWee

What made you sure it was your right of way?
OP was turning off a main road into a side road. That gives her right of way over someone turning onto the main road. Not read the Highway Code recently? Hmm
FatBettyintheCoop · 10/11/2021 20:39

@VeniVidiWeeWee

What made you sure it was your right of way?
Assuming it’s a normal road junction, the driver already on the main road always has right of way over a driver joining the main road. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Bahhhhhumbug · 10/11/2021 20:45

Woman today sat in her car in multi storey car park in space next to the empty space l was reversing into. Not blowing my own trumpet but l am very good at reverse parking/reversing into a space etc. I started to reverse in slowly and at the correct angle in order to end up exactly between her car and the car parked on other side of the space. As l was halfway in she hit her horn full blast really made me jump and stop to see wtaf she was alerting me to even though l was carefully observing in wing and rear view mirrors and could see nothing of concern. Thinking l better not just carry on as the woman obviously could see something l couldn't l got out of my car and physically looked behind it.... nothing ! I got back in and started reversing again slowly and she started again with the pipping. I carried on this time and finished parking ignoring the stupid woman.
I got out and asked her what she thought she was doing and she said 'stopping you hitting my car' I pointed out that without making any backwards or forwards adjustments l had ended up parked centrally between the cars with ample room between us, so l obviously was never going to hit her car or come even close to doing so. She stomped off and gave me and dd the finger. Obviously had no intelligent argument or able to simply admit she made a mistake. People like this just get aggressive instead, not worth dwelling on.

LuluBlakey1 · 10/11/2021 20:48

There are some horrible, aggressive, very angry people about who must simmer constantly given how little it takes for them to explode. Best ignored.

icedcoffees · 10/11/2021 20:52

@VeniVidiWeeWee

What made you sure it was your right of way?
Because she was on the main road and the other driver was on the side road?
