There were pictures of her today at the Rome G20 summit in a red dress and red jacket (and I did think her outfit looked rather good).

It does annoy me that women are still being judged by the media on what they are wearing and there is often a breakdown of individual items ie. shoes from. Jacket from etc. If they wear them more than twice they are being ‘frugal’. Why do we still judge women on what they wear. Boris is not judged (apart from his hair)

I agree with not judging people about what they're wearing but then why start a thread about it?

I've judged him on his appearance. Rightly or wrongly I look at him and think...................... what a shabby effort.

Because what matters about women is how we look.
Have you seen interviews with actors? Men get questions about the role and meanings and stuff. Women get asked if they had to lose weight and how sexy the costume was

I just don't understand why you started this thread with a description of what she was wearing and a comment on what you thought about that. Aren't you undermining the very point that you want to make?

Frankly, I'm not interested in Carrie Johnson at all - whether it's what she is wearing or what she thinks about stuff. She is not an elected representative, she's just someone's spouse. I'd rather that the media focused on the issues being discussed.

Well partly it is because people like to copy the look of an attractive, well dressed person. It would annoy me more if she was a politician herself and people were ignoring her work and message to focus on her appearance though.

Don't know how many now, he doesn't even seem to know how many himself. What is clear though is that he clearly doesn't give a toss about the environment, otherwise he would stop reproducing!

Why should we 'judge' Carrie at all? She was never elected to any public post. She's the PM's wife. That's it. However, she has deliberately sought out a high profile, when she could have chosen to be much more low key. Could you describe Nicola Sturgeon's husband, or Dishy Rishi's wife? I'm guessing not. However, Carrie has chosen the spotlight, and given that she has nothing much of substance to offer, then yes, people will talk about her clothes. As you are doing.

I may get flamed but when I see the pair of them I just think she looks to young for him. Makes me feel sorry for his kids as he must be embarrassing to have as a father. YANBU the papers love to have a 'pin up' with swishy hair, making out women are just ornaments.
