To think this is appalling (anti vax protests)

Was at hair salon this morning. My hairdresser told me that he took his teens to be vaccinated, there were protestors outside shouting “don’t let them do it to you” and in some cases physically trying to grab the children. Children coming out were clapped and told “Congratulations, you just became a lab rat”. What is wrong with these people?

A great pity the police can't/won't move them on. I'm a great believer in freedom of speech, but it has to be balanced against the physical safety and mental wellbeing of people who are being subjected to this utter nonsense, yelled at by a mob, attempting to manhandle other human beings. In the light of yesterday's heinous attack on an MP at his regular clinic, we should all be particularly aware that some extremists don't stop at yelling and jostling.

It's vile. I don't know what else to say.

My elderly dad had to dodge protesters when he had his first jab last year.

I hope the police came down on them like a tonne of bricks for grabbing children.

My kids have chosen not to have it and I agree with them. But these protestors are awful. It’s none of their business what others do and they should be moved on. If they tried to grab my child, they’d be in serious trouble.
My kids school are doing vaccinations soon and I’m hoping these people won’t be outside their school as they have others.

Some people are so stupid. I had to leave a couple of local Facebook groups because the anti vaxxers and conspiracy theorists were taking the piss out of the sensible members. They make me sick.

The police should really have attended if children were being harassed whilst visiting that clinic.

I'd get some people together and start protesting against the protestors "Anti-Vaxxers are Cunts" "Anti-Vaxxers are Sheep" "Anti-Vaxxers are murderers" and so on....

That's weird behaviour. I think it's up to individual people what they do and I absolutely support the choice not to vaccinate. But intimidating people who have chosen to do so is nuts.

If the anti-vaxers want all our hard working health care professionals to burn out completely and quit, just keep on demonstrating.

We have had them at hospitals and it is completely demoralizing to those who have worked through the entire pandemic and seen endless tragedies. My sister is one of them, and she got Covid too.

We have recently had full ICUs populated by very sick unvaccinated people. Please, get a grip.

I bet the anti vaxxers would trample over others' prone bodies if polio ever came back to this country in their desperation for their vaccine. Or how about a bit of diphtheria? Good job smallpox was eradicated. I wonder how they managed that 🙄

Had this when I went for my first one back in March.

One screamed "trust your own immune system" ironically I was there due to an autoimmune disease. I wouldn't trust my immune system with anything...

Dh knew an anti vaxxer at work, very much into the conspiracies despite that she was very obese and vulnerable. She was in her 20s, caught COVID recently and has just passed away last week. Very sad

Absolutely awful. Everyone is entitled to do as they please with regard to vaccines, but it’s never ok to push that opinion on someone else whatever your stance. Especially not children.

Ivegota apparently some of them think vaccinated people shed the virus. There a groups talking about living away from vaxxers, starting no'vax schools etc. It was on the World Service one night.
