To think this is appalling (anti vax protests)

Was at hair salon this morning. My hairdresser told me that he took his teens to be vaccinated, there were protestors outside shouting “don’t let them do it to you” and in some cases physically trying to grab the children. Children coming out were clapped and told “Congratulations, you just became a lab rat”. What is wrong with these people?

Absolutely appalling.

If they don't want the vaccine, I'm not going to support that they be forced to have it, so where's the reciprocal acceptance? Do any of them really think anyone is going to change their mind about wanting their vaccine appointment because people shouted slogans at them? All they have done is threaten children for nothing.

I suppose they are feeling that if was the other way around ....

But it's not the other way round.
If they were being forced to be vaccinated then sure, they could protest against that, that would be a valid reason for protest. Even then, manner of protest described (vile words etc) would still be unacceptable, and it wouldn't be aimed at kids.

@FreshFreesias

“Grabbing the children”? I think I will file that one under ‘things that never happened’.
That’s your prerogative. But if you read my OP again I didn’t say “grabbing the children” I said “trying to grab the children”. I was reporting what my hairdresser told me and he was there with his kids getting them vaccinated. Not sure what his motivation would have been for lying about it.

If it’s true, no reason to believe it not, they’ll be footage of it

Posted too soon.

If it’s true, no reason to believe it not, they’ll be footage of it on YouTube and other places soon enough.

They were at a school near me last week. Some of the little kids were terrified.

It's not right. Nobody should be allowed to harass and frighten kids just trying to get to school. I'm really hoping they don't show up at my kids school when they're getting their jabs
