Aarrgg tesco delivery!!!!!

So tonight my tesco delivery just didn't turn up!!! No phone call, no email, nothing!! The app is still showing its going to be delivered!! I've got no fruit here for my children for school, my DD is autistic and going to have a meltdown when she doesn't have her usual fruit! I am so so annoyed!!
Can't wait to hear the excuse Tesco give me in the morning when I ring, no doubt they will just offer a proxy £10 good will gesture!

I tried phoning at 8 but they were closed 😭😭 so frustrating as if they actually told me this morning I could have gone shopping!! We've had a situation where the van has broken down before and they rang us and we drove to where it had broken down to collect the shopping! But just not to turn up with absolutely no communication at all is ridiculous

If you are not able to pop to the shop on the way to school ( and I understand that you may have home school transport), do you feel able to say roughly where you are and what fruit?

(I'd happy pop eg a satsuma, banana and apple through your letterbox if you were fairly local to me!)

@TyneTeas oh that is such a lovely thing to say 💞 luckily my friend is bringing some apples to the school in the morning although my DD routine is to put her raspberries, strawberries and red grapes into her container ( got to be all red fruit) in the morning, hopefully a red apple will suffice on this one off occasion 🙈 I am just so so annoyed at Tesco, especially in Covid times I could have been an elderly person, or someone with covid and unable to leave the house. If they had just let me know earlier I could have gone to a supermarket x

@TyneTeas this is a brilliant idea! Thank you! Going to look for a red crayon 🤓 she is aware that the shopping didn't turn up as she likes to "help" me put it away, but I told her to lay on her bed and I would call her if it arrives luckily she fell asleep, but I don't think she would make the connection of no shopping no fruit 😩

@PoolNooodle @Sundaynightnamechange no way!? I pay for the monthly delivery saver pass thing, and I've used them for 3 years only issue was the van breaking down but was happy for my partner to drive to collect the shopping, but this time I'm really annoyed! But I've just looked and they've added 111 points to my clubcard and taken the money out of the bank!

I was planning on going shopping straight from school run tomorrow but will have to speak to Tesco now as they have taken the £111 out of my bank but produced no shopping!

Email them about taking the payment for nothing delivered. If they don’t deliver or refund today tell your bank they have the money etc.

Omg so rang at 8am they said it showed delivered on their system! They rang the driver who said he lost the paper work so didn't know my address to deliver to ( but now the shopping has disappeared!!) Anyway they said they would re schedule tonight for 10pm that was the only slot so I took it, and confirmed the money wouldn't be taken again?! And was assured it wouldn't! Low and behold they've taken the payment again so Tesco have £300 of my money but I am still yet to have any shopping!! Not even a sorry from them x

Apparently a manager would ring me within the hour that was at 11AM still not heard anything, am doubtful if my shopping will even turn up today!

Completely unacceptable that they've charged you twice you'd expect with all the practice over covid they'd have some system to prevent this.
It's so frustrating.

This is exactly why I don’t online shop anymore.

  • not turning up
  • crap dates
  • sad looking fresh produce
  • random/ much worse value substitutions (yes I can reject but I still needed those items)
  • items not turning up only for me to go to store… where surprisingly they are all available.
-incorrect allergy info on website rendering items useless. -Taking money and then dragging their heels to refund.

Honestly I hate online shopping I really do and I get irate when everyone and their dog says ‘oh I can’t believe you take 2 under 2 to the supermarket, you should just do it online’ Angry

I only knew they'd taken the payment twice as I went to get gas and electric from the shop and my card was declined!! 😠 I'm hoping they refund the money back before my electric and gas runs out! Lucky I did have that money in my bank as otherwise I would have no food until the money went back in x
