Good for you. Hopefully thats a choice you've made yourself and not something you have been conditioned to enjoy through men who watch porn. What you do in your bedroom with a consenting partner is up to you.

What is not okay about this, is that it's being played via radio stations and music channels, further pushing the boundaries of what kids thinks is and is not acceptable and expected of them in sexual relationships.

I hope you practice 'safe choking' and don't end up like one of them poor women who have died during such practices and the 'rough sex defence' has been used.

I hadn't listened to the lyrics but had heard the tune and liked the sound of that.
I've just had a look at the lyrics. It is clear that it is about choking. What a bloody awful subject to sing a long to.
The only thing that I'm not clear about is that appears the singer seems like he doesn't want to do it

I think that the lyrics are about erotic asphyxiation which I know sounds shocking in a main stream song and I agree but to be honest alot of songs now the lyrics are absolutely awful

I actually really like his music & voice.

And yet if you watch the official video , he's in a club , they are all using tanks and putting masks onto their faces ( Nitrous Oxide ? )

And the female dancer wraps a long plaited strand of hair round his neck and drags him along the floor .

Completely opposite concept to what has been reflected here .

I don't want my 12 year old daughter listening to lyrics like that on the radio while we're driving to the shops, or pottering about the kitchen.

It’s a reasonable assumption given how many women have been killed this way. If that’s what you’re into and you practice whatever it is safely, that’s your business, but I don’t want this shit being normalised in the mainstream music my kids listen to.
