What exactly is he. I don't understand his character. What do you suppose the pre requisite was to audition for his character? He's hilarious, bizarre and pointless

I haven't watched Corrie for about 15 years, but he always seemed to be aiming for a David Essex/Jeff Goldblum mashup. Has his character or acting developed any?

He is an absolutely shit actor.

He's just pointless. I don't see the point of him at all. He has the driest storylines.

I quite like him. Love his friendship with Mary. I suppose he's the single dad, eternally seeking happy ending type. When the did the racism storyline last year with Ed I thought he was wonderful. Just saying it like it was. The bit about people refusing to put money in his hand but happy to use the shop and leave it on the counter.

He is in a way but he knows it - or thinks he does.

That's part of his character really, he fancies himself and that is quite funny but he can border on the sleazy side. However he is really good and nice sometimes.

He was saying rather inappropriate things tonight whilst playing some sort of guessing game with Billy and Summer, it was cringeworthy.

We've got so used to him in the shop, we forget he has acted in other things with quite different characterisations.

I haven't watched Corrie in years but Harry Hill used to take the piss out of him on TV burp and it was hysterical

Aww, i think some of you are being a bit harsh. I think he is a great character. I loved the way he dealt with his daughters scandal with the naked phone pic. He was really reassuring although embarassing (as all parents are!) His interactions with Evelyn, Mary and particularly Steve are hilarious.

Can’t stand Dev, Sean or Gemma, all very unfunny yet keep getting pushed as comedic characters?

I love the character Dev.. he's hilarious.. and adds great character to a dark dull and boring script.. Dev Steve and Tim.. are the best thing about Corrie 🌸
