Me and a friend both wanted a particular hard to find candle (I know first world probs )
I wanted a different scent to hers.
We had tried a few times and couldn't find it.
She said her cousin had managed to find the one I wanted but not hers.
I thanked her and transferred the £15
She said she would let me know when her cousin dropped it off.

Tonight we were on the phone and she said
"Sorry my mum decided she liked the candle so kept it"

So what happened was she would rather keep it than give it to me.
Nothing to do with her mum

I don't think it's sneaky but a bit cheeky. If I was in your friends shoes I would have told DM that it's for nerecdd and not given it away.

But as long as she gives you your money back.

She said next time i see you il give you it.
I know it's deffo not for her mum.
She will be thinking I can't get the other one so I will keep that one.

I knew this reminded me of something.

I think seasonal duvet poster was one who buys a new Christmas / winter theme duvet set for herself and also one for her friend in the run up to Christmas each year, however this year the friend bought one for herself but not OP.

The candle is called autumn leaves it's a Yankee but it's a American one

@gamerchick she doesn't do online banking unfortunately and lives 50 mins away so I don't fancy driving over for it.
