£20 on a £2 card, so actually £18 Smile

Jmaho · 04/09/2021 22:06

I rarely buy them but I work in mortgages and a few years ago I approved someone who had won on one of those £30k a year for life cards. Now that's one to win on!

SeigneurLapindeGrantham · 04/09/2021 22:06

£25

MurielSpriggs · 04/09/2021 22:07

Voice of gloom here.

Another interesting question is how much do you spend on them? A fiver a week is £1,000 after four years!

Kljnmw3459 · 04/09/2021 22:14

I've won £50 once. More recently I won £10. They're just a bit of fun.

TheRealHousewife · 04/09/2021 22:20

5k Bought online and it went straight into bank account 🤩😬 Only flutter occasionally.b

NotThatSocial · 04/09/2021 22:23

When I was about 20, an acquaintance who was the same age won £250k on one. 2 weeks later he won another £8k.

I buy them occasionally (maybe 10 a year) and have never won more than £20.

Bearsbearsbears40 · 04/09/2021 22:23

I’ve won £100 twice in about 8 years, plus the odd £3, £5 and £10. I don’t buy them that often, sometimes my mum and aunt buy them for us as a bit of fun or a silly Christmas present.

Seriously79 · 04/09/2021 22:26

Close family member won 1 million on a scratch card on Christmas Eve!

The hangover the next day was immense! And yes they were very generous 😊

chafingstraightjacket · 04/09/2021 22:30

The shop near me sells scratch cards. One woman who has a son the same age as ds used to buy them on the way back from the school run.
She would then walk down my street scratching the cards and throw them in my garden.
I seethed about it but didn't dare say anything as she wasn't the nicest person.
One day, picking them up I realised she'd forgotten to scratch one.
I won £40 Grin

Evenstar · 04/09/2021 22:32

I won £50 a few years ago, but I do know someone who won a million last year during lockdown. She is a lovely person and has done lots for charity and hasn’t changed her lifestyle drastically.

ladygindiva · 04/09/2021 22:42

20 pound I think 🙄

PyongyangKipperbang · 04/09/2021 22:44

We had one left over card at work which was being replaced by a different lot of cards. So I bought it. Won £30. Got £25 and another one at a different shop. Won £50. Same again, got £45 and another one....eventually I ended up 140 quid up from a fiver!

TheViewFromTheCheapSeats · 04/09/2021 22:47

£1000, I was given it. Had to claim it at the park office. Ages at the counter!!
I was given it by a young nephew so gave him half

AleynEivlys · 04/09/2021 22:47

£100, though an ex of mine once texted me (we were still going out at the time) from a game of skittles to say that a guy there had just won FIFTY GRAND on a scratchcard. 😱

ssd · 04/09/2021 22:48

XenoBitch · 04/09/2021 22:48

pecanmix · 04/09/2021 22:53

safariboot · 04/09/2021 23:43

Nought, but I buy them once in a blue moon. I play the lottery barely more often.

BakedTattie · 04/09/2021 23:47

Not a scratch card but I went to uni with a girl who’s parents won £90million on the euromillions.

Mammyloveswine · 05/09/2021 12:10

I won £40 as a skint student! Paid for my night out!

The odd tenner..

Usually just a couple of quid,

My uncle won £25,000!

Penners99 · 05/09/2021 13:07

£5k

GiantHaystacks2021 · 05/09/2021 13:22

Nothing much. 2 quid here or there. I never did them much and I do not do them any more.

I used to know a girl who worked in a newsagents and she said not to buy them because so few people win on them.

Saying that - I know someone who won 5000.
