To ask - Any tips for being 7 months pregnant at Xmas?

I’ll be nearly 7 months pregnant this coming Xmas - is there anything you would say to help me get through it Grin? Or is it just like normal. Obviously I won’t drink. I’m sure I’ll see a lot of OH ‘s family who I love - they’re a large family so think many siblings /nephews and nieces. - my hormones are making me broody atm so I’ll need to stay away from the babies in the family. Grin But seriously, am I likely to find Xmas much more tiring, etc?

OP posts:

I think you’re overthinking it.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 28/08/2021 19:45

It’ll be Christmas.

You’ll be pregnant.

That’s kind of it.

bluebeck · 28/08/2021 19:45

Use it as an excuse not to have to travel or put yourself out.

And start setting the scene for "Of course, from now on we will spend all our Christmases at home..."

SmidgenofaPigeon · 28/08/2021 19:45

OP this is one of MANY threads on your pregnancy already.

BebesChamber · 28/08/2021 19:47

It depends how you're feeling by then I guess. If you're tired then make an excuse to go and nap if it gets too much with all the family. But you'll probably be fine - it's just normal.

EatYourVegetables · 28/08/2021 19:47

Jesus.

If pregnancy + Christmas is causing you this much anguish, you’re in for a tough few years.

SmidgenofaPigeon · 28/08/2021 19:48

Why does being hormonal and pregnant make you need to stay away from other babies Confused

poullou · 28/08/2021 19:48

Are you going to be on your feet cooking Christmas dinner for 26 people that will be drinking from morning? If so, then you probably will be more tired than normal and have less patience for the drunks.

If you're going to be a guest at a nice family dinner where everyone is having a couple of drinks, you'll probably just join them in a nap in front of the telly during Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

LakeShoreD · 28/08/2021 19:48

I’m so confused. What does being pregnant have to do with Christmas? If you usually get hammered you’ll have to give it a miss, that’s about it. And how can you be broody if you’re already pregnant? Why would you need to stay away from babies? Are you ok OP?

HurryUpAndWait23 · 28/08/2021 19:48

It's literally like any other Christmas.

You're over thinking it.

JaffaRaf · 28/08/2021 19:49

Don’t no why you’d need to avoid babies, what’s wrong with being broody when you’re about to give birth? No tips needed anyway, you’ll still be a pregnant human at Christmas, rest if you’re tired, eat if you’re hungry… just like every other Christmas, and every other day.

THNG5 · 28/08/2021 19:50

I'm confused. You're pregnant but broody and need to stay away from babies??

User5827372728 · 28/08/2021 19:51

Avoid alcohol, avoid soft cheese, avoid anyone you feel like you have to see but you don’t want to and blame being pregnant!

Cyw2018 · 28/08/2021 19:51

Be careful not to over eat. Being overfull and causing an ibs flairup brought on braxton Hicks so bad I nearly called the midwife.

User5827372728 · 28/08/2021 19:51

@THNG5

Incase she steals them?!!

Hercisback · 28/08/2021 19:52

Wow. You're just pregnant on a day.

ViciousJackdaw · 28/08/2021 19:53

Any tips for being 7 months pregnant at Xmas?

Yes. Have unprotected sex in May.

TakeMe2Insanity · 28/08/2021 19:54

7 months pregnant is different to giving birth in Christmas week. Heres a hint nothing needs altering!

RuggerHug · 28/08/2021 19:55

If you normally cater for 30 people and have them stay then say now you're not doing it this year. Other than that...enjoy Christmas?

myheartskippedabeat · 28/08/2021 19:56

@SmidgenofaPigeon

It’ll be Christmas.

You’ll be pregnant.

That’s kind of it.

Exactly What on earth are you stressing about
Demelza82 · 28/08/2021 19:57

Christ, get a fucking grip. If this is even a thought process going through your head you're going to struggle massively with parenthood

aaaaah · 28/08/2021 19:59

Maybe think about it nearer the time.
Just don't eat the same things you usually can't eat while pregnant.
Why are you avoiding other children?!

mibbelucieachwell · 28/08/2021 19:59

Ahhhh that was me 22 years ago. Fond memories of resting my mock tail glass on my bump.
