To ask - Any tips for being 7 months pregnant at Xmas?

I’ll be nearly 7 months pregnant this coming Xmas - is there anything you would say to help me get through it Grin? Or is it just like normal. Obviously I won’t drink. I’m sure I’ll see a lot of OH ‘s family who I love - they’re a large family so think many siblings /nephews and nieces. - my hormones are making me broody atm so I’ll need to stay away from the babies in the family. Grin But seriously, am I likely to find Xmas much more tiring, etc?

Is this even a thing? Will you be back needing advice for next Christmas as you have a baby - what special treatment should expect then for being the mother of a 10(?) month old child?

DO NOT HOST CHRISTMAS FOR 14 PEOPLE. I learned this the hard way. Also, don’t eat much as the heartburn is just not worth it! Get everything gift wrapped that you can - bending over/forward to wrap stuff for hours is really uncomfortable with a big bump.

Don't eat Brie

aaaaah · 28/08/2021 21:44

Maybe focus on being pregnant right now rather than worry about months down the line

@SmidgenofaPigeon

It’ll be Christmas.

You’ll be pregnant.

That’s kind of it.

@ConsuelaHammock Christ, is there any need for that? I'm sure the op has heard of miscarriage but what a horrible way to shoot a pregnant woman down. Remind her her baby might die. Ffs

Briarshollow · 28/08/2021 21:45

I get you’re probably excited and a bit obsessed with your own pregnancy, but try to keep a bit of perspective. Billions of people have been pregnant at Christmas. No one else will really care, I’m afraid.

What sort of answers were you expecting? 😬

Crunchymum · 28/08/2021 21:45

I've been 8 months pregnant at Christmas (Twice. My poor January born children) and it was fine.

You'll know nearer the time what you are up for and you can go from there.

BunnytheFriendlyDragon · 28/08/2021 21:46

Not only are you overthinking but it's only AUGUST

Have you seen the Christmas board though? It's getting into full swing over there! I love it!
AJB3001 · 28/08/2021 21:48

I was just a little further ahead than you as I was 8 months at Christmas....it was fab, just a brilliant excuse to not stop eating and wear comfortable clothes (a large onesie) for about a week hahah! X

slashlover · 28/08/2021 21:48

Maybe this would be more suitable for the pregnancy board OP? (along with posts telling us you managed to keep your breakfast down which is in no way an AIBU).

Briarshollow · 28/08/2021 21:49

Omg. You’re the one who called themselves a ‘former gym bunny’ and was talking about indigestion and elasticated trousers and then baffled other posters when it transpired you were only eight weeks pregnant. 😂

Catfox1 · 28/08/2021 21:51

I’m going to be 7 months pregnant at Christmas and I have it all planned.

I’m not seeing anyone. I’m eating a fuck tonne of pigs in blankets until my husband has to roll my fat ass to bed.

Imissmybum · 28/08/2021 21:53

You again?

HoboSexualOnslow · 28/08/2021 21:55

Are they afraid you will steal the babies?

Sounds perfect!
ViciousJackdaw · 28/08/2021 22:00

Has a bloke called Gabriel been round to see you then? It must have been a shock finding out someone else is the father, not your DP but it will all be worth it.
Make sure you know where the nearest manger is, just in case labour starts early and don't bother calling in at the Lamb and Flag - there's no room. You might want to check out the prices of flights to Cairo whilst you're at it.

Catfox1 · 28/08/2021 22:02

Actually scratch that I just worked it out and I’ll be 8 months all being well. Who knew. We got a long way to go OP.

JuicyPie · 28/08/2021 22:04

I was due on the 22nd December, I made sure I had everything wrapped and ready by the start of the month and I told the family we were planning to see each day that it would be baby dependent! I was able to have a nap on Xmas afternoon and didn't feel guilty for not helping out! Baby stayed put till a few days after in the end. I'll be 8 months this year! (poor winter babies)

Oogachuckachopsy · 28/08/2021 22:08

OP, you’ve started so, so, so many threads about this pregnancy.

shuyajty · 28/08/2021 22:10

As others have said you're pregnant and it's Christmas, not much more to it really.

8dpwoah · 28/08/2021 22:12

Being 7 months is probably preferable to being 3 months where you're still nauseated by everything, or 9 months where you'd be on the receiving end of donkey/stable jokes.

Don't eat the pate, don't eat the weird cheese, don't drink the wine. Other than that do what everyone else in the house will be doing.
