To think, if my lips are blue, then it's too bloody cold?

Sorry for this rant but hopefully there will be other posters who feel the same. Where I am it is winter and I am freezing Sad. I have four layers of clothes on and am trying to work in these conditions but finding it hard. I've just been to the bathroom and seen that my lips are blue. Just for background, I am in great health and have no circulatory problems.

If I hear the words, "rug up" or "just put another jumper on" one more time I swear to God...

AIBU?

I'd be heading off to the doctor OP. It's not normal at all...I'd be worried I had a heart issue quite honestly.

KhalliWhalli · 25/08/2021 03:29

@FortunesFave But wouldn't I get this at other times though? It's only when I'm really cold.

Hercisback · 25/08/2021 03:33

Do you have heating?

It's not normal to be that cold.

KhalliWhalli · 25/08/2021 03:36

@Hercisback There is no heating where I am right now. But I've been told I'm ridiculous as "it's not cold". It is 7 degrees.

If you're so cold your lips are blue it must be freezing.

Who is stopping you putting the heating on?

Hercisback · 25/08/2021 03:38

7 degrees indoors? That's cold.
Why no heating?

KhalliWhalli · 25/08/2021 03:40

I am so glad other people think that's cold!

plodalong12 · 25/08/2021 03:43

Which country are you living in right now?

1forAll74 · 25/08/2021 04:11

You might look good,in a balaclava and some fleecy mouth covering.!

Donotgogentle · 25/08/2021 04:42

My lips go blue when I get cold too.

Why no heating on?

PurpleOkapi · 25/08/2021 04:45

Are anyone else's lips blue? In general I'd agree with you, but if no one else is that cold, you should probably see a doctor.

KhalliWhalli · 25/08/2021 05:03

I'm with people who never feel the cold.

OP posts:
ISpyCobraKai · 25/08/2021 05:07

I get like that too, I don't tolerate the cold well at all

daretodenim · 25/08/2021 05:12

Do they not want heating on because they're fine of because they're living extremely frugally (for whatever reason)?

If your lips are turning blue and you're in that state for some time, surely it's going to become a medical issue at some point, possibly quite an urgent one?

Personally I'd not be able to cope in those condition.

gofg · 25/08/2021 05:12

It's difficult to answer unless we know what type of job you are doing? I've never seen anyone with blue lips, you really must feel the cold.

FlyingScott · 25/08/2021 05:13

Where are you?
I didn’t think there was anywhere in world where it could be 7 degrees indoors at the moment (was looking at worldwide temperatures in the paper yesterday.

I think possibly New Zealand was the coolest at 12 degrees but I gather it’s still winter there.

gofg · 25/08/2021 05:38

I'm in NZ and we've had 20 degrees here for the past three days!

FlyingScott · 25/08/2021 05:50

Apart from Antarctica of course!

FlyingScott · 25/08/2021 05:52

I think the NZ temp was Wellington

Tlollj · 25/08/2021 05:53

7 degrees wouldn’t make your lips blue would it?
Where are you?

Anniegetyourgun · 25/08/2021 05:53

@KhalliWhalli

I'm with people who never feel the cold.
Working in a morgue?
icklekid · 25/08/2021 05:58

Could you get a Heated blanket or similar?

ApolloandDaphne · 25/08/2021 05:58

Is it cold in the place you live or where you work?

Soyouthought · 25/08/2021 06:03

My idea of hell. Is there electric for a plug in heater or heated blanket?

tigger1001 · 25/08/2021 06:31

I don't feel the cold easily, but 7 degrees is certainly cold if indoors.

However, you say there is no heating where you are, so even if everyone was cold it's not something that can be fixed right now.

More context is needed. Are you indoors? Working? Why no heating?
