To ask for your “game changers”

Things you’ve bought that have essentially changed your life for the better.

For me, it’s a swim dress. Basically a swimming costume with a little skirt that just covers the bikini line. Flattering, hides my stomach and most importantly it doesn’t matter if my bikini line is needing a little attention. It has completely taken the stress out of taking the kids swimming and now we go all the time Smile

Other game changers for me include the perfect prep (🥰), L’Oréal eight-second wonder water, and Pinch of Nom.

@amatsip

Nail scissors in my handbag pocket, so handy when we are out and about, opening things, taking tags of cuddlies daughter insists on holding straight after purchase, loose strings etc. Just nice to always know a pair is close by.
This is the stuff I live for. Dm says her WI friends carry them for opening stubborn ketchup sachets! I must start this habit immediately.

Glass nail file

@Meruem

A really good coffee machine. I almost never buy coffees out now. A jacuzzi mat for the bath. I suffer with a lot of aches and pains, restless legs etc, and it’s been so good for me.
Which jacuzzi mat if you don't mind me asking? My 5yo DD suffers terribly with leg pains

Just ordered the Philips lumea Star

Dyson air filter/fan - yes it was hideously expensive but so helpful for me during hayfever season.

Also: tumble dryer, robot vacuum cleaner, robot mop, lumie light, retinol/hyaluronic acid face serum.

FindingMeno · 24/08/2021 22:18

Laser eye surgery.

Himalayan salt lamps. I have 3 so far. They are so calming and cosy and cheap! I buy them as gifts now and they are always a hit.

AndTheReasonIsYou · 24/08/2021 22:35

Very. It’s black and I think it cost £30

Big bloomers chub rub shorts

Really good makeup brushes

Wool room wool duvet

M&S comfortably cool bedding. I judge this by the fact my cat never ever lies on my bed unless this bedding is on Grin

Rapidlash for long eyelashes

Rosalique 3 in 1 redness formula. It really works! Mascara primer, really helps to lengthen the lashes. Water flosser, dentist has really noticed the difference.

@DillonPanthersTexas

Telling various people at work to piss off when they try and rope me into doing something at 5pm as I am just about to walk out the door.
Might try that on DH. Always as I'm leaving to pick up DS2. Hmm
TawnyPippit · 24/08/2021 23:29

Electric bike conversion kit. I liked the idea of cycling in theory, but it was always just a bit too, you know, “cycle-y” Hmm. I recently got a Swytch conversion kit to turn my standard road bike into an electric/pedal assist version and it’s been brilliant - thoroughly recommend.
