Just that really.

First school residential so about 9.

CheshireDing · 23/08/2021 20:22

If you mean with someone who wasn’t me or DH (so grandparent etc), then when DC was 7 they stayed overnight one night at grandparents.

strugglingmummy2021 · 23/08/2021 20:23

Sorry yes I did mean that. Someone who's not mum or dad.

I think she was coming up to 3 years old.

Algebraicyourleg · 23/08/2021 20:25

So far, I have only left them overnight with DH. 4nights I left one twin with him while I was in hospital with the other, when they were 8months old. I left both of them overnight, again with DH, when they were 17months.

We haven’t both left them, yet, but will have to when DC3 arrives in October when my parents will be having them.

Justme10 · 23/08/2021 20:25

I left DS1 when he was 6 weeks old for a hen night.

Everyone is different, it just depends what you are comfortable with.

Bells3032 · 23/08/2021 20:26

My sister left her kids (then 18 months and 3 years) for three night with me. But I often helped put them to bed and took them out for the day so they were very used to me

Ronacorona · 23/08/2021 20:26

About 3 months, stayed with grand parents for a night.

LittleGreenTable · 23/08/2021 20:27

4 month my DS stayed with my parents and has stayed out weekly since

strugglingmummy2021 · 23/08/2021 20:29

Mine is 19 months and I need to go to a wedding. It's getting closer and I'm getting more worried and nervous about it. Would absolutely not choose to do it, but can't cancel this wedding. How are they at this age ? Will they cry and miss us or just not care ? I have no idea. Have only left for a few hours so far. Never this long or over night.

Left them with DH at 15 months and 11 months. They’re 4 and 1 and not been left with anyone else yet but tbf we don’t have anyone to leave them with!

Vbree · 23/08/2021 20:31

My son is 15 months and I'm yet to leave him overnight. I think he'd be fine but haven't felt the need yet. We've been out for a meal etc for a few hours when he's with the grandparents though, no issues there.

AfternoonToffee · 23/08/2021 20:31

DD1 was 18mths. DS was 22 months, DD2 - I really can't remember, older than 4.5 but before she was 8. (The poor third child everything is forgotten)

Mainly due to lack of opportunity rather than preference on my part.

Jubaju · 23/08/2021 20:33

3.5yrs when I went in to have an elective Csection with the second one 😭

RaspberryThief · 23/08/2021 20:34

It totally depends on the child and circumstances as to how easy or otherwise it's likely to be. Are they very used to whoever will be looking after them? Will they be in own bed? Are they used to being away from you for nursery/childcare? Are they used to different people (e.g. even just dad) doing bedtime or is it always you? Are they accustomed to your going out in the evening? Etc etc.

Dmsandfloatydress · 23/08/2021 20:35

Never and he is nearly 5. Just not interested in doing it. Have never had a reason. If its a no kids wedding then only one of us attends. My mother also only left me from 7 and that was at my fathers insistence. You do what you are comfortable with.

TheRabbitStoleMyHat · 23/08/2021 20:35

Think DS was about 15 months when I went on a hen weekend. He had a whale of a time with my DM.

It was probably 5 years 9 months before DH and I had a night away together.

polkadotpixie · 23/08/2021 20:37

About 8 weeks I think. My Mum had him overnight because we had tickets for a gig, he was totally fine

strugglingmummy2021 · 23/08/2021 20:37

@Dmsandfloatydress ah !! I should have just gone by myself ! My husband doesn't even want to go. They're my friends ! Ah !!

Blimey! About 4 weeks old; I went to my parents child free to have a good nights sleep and a sleeping pill!

Tiggerdig · 23/08/2021 20:39

5 months

FuzzyPenguin · 23/08/2021 20:39

Not done it yet and DS is 7. Have took him camping for a week without DH though.

strugglingmummy2021 · 23/08/2021 20:39

@RaspberryThief no ! Not used to any of that ! Always with me, only sometimes with dad. They won't be in their own bed either. They know the people well though. No nursery but nanny at home and I work from home, so I am around a lot.

Years. They were definitely school aged, and on a sleepover with friends.

GrandTheftWalrus · 23/08/2021 20:44

4 weeks with my 1st and 6 weeks with my 2nd
