Sundried tomatoes?!

Soggy, vinegary monstrosities…

Yabu, I love them! I eat them out of the jar!

UsernameNotAvailableApparently · 18/08/2021 18:42

And while we’re at it, parma ham in its raw form (totally acceptable when cooked up and crispy).

Stringy raw looking meat Envy < not envy

They are disgusting, leathery horrors.

RickOShay · 18/08/2021 18:43

I’m with you @UsernameNotAvailableApparently
I lived in Italy for five years. Never ate one.
I think the Italians hate them and send them all here

Flatdisco · 18/08/2021 18:43

I love them. I'm vegetarian so can't comment on the parma ham.

jobsagudden · 18/08/2021 18:45

YABVU Sun dried tomatoes are probably in my top 5 things to eat. And parma ham is lovely!

Unfashionable · 18/08/2021 18:45

I’m a bit of a foodie, and I love a lot of things that others hate eg olives, raw fish, blue cheese, mushrooms, but I can’t stand sundried tomatoes. Awful things.

WitchBaby · 18/08/2021 18:45

Love sun dried tomatoes with mozzarella 😋

whiteroseredrose · 18/08/2021 18:47

Sun dried tomatoes are a no from me too!

BakedTattie · 18/08/2021 18:47

Love them. And Parma ham

Knittedfairies · 18/08/2021 18:48

I'm another who could eat them out of the jar (and have, truth be told...)

CreamCabbages · 18/08/2021 18:48

YABU. They are delicious chopped up in a pasta dish or in a salad. Or out of the jar..

UsernameNotAvailableApparently · 18/08/2021 18:48

Satan’s ballsacks I’ve decided. I can’t genuinely believe people actually enjoy eating them.

OP posts:
Happy36 · 18/08/2021 18:48

They're a trigger word for me...actively avoid dishes containing them.

Happy36 · 18/08/2021 18:49

LOVE all other types of tomato.

TheLovelinessOfDemons · 18/08/2021 18:49

They taste too strong.

ChavDiningHalls · 18/08/2021 18:49

I love them, and eat them out of the jar. However, I'm going to be thinking of Satan's ballsacks next time I do. Grin

FangsForTheMemory · 18/08/2021 18:50

I'm with you on this. Back in the day, my mother used to make Batchelor's soup from a packet of dried powder and it had bits of tomato in it and they were never properly reconstituted and they were just like sundried tomatoes.

incinemasnow · 18/08/2021 18:51

Love them & parma ham & olives & gherkins & capers

Both absolutely delicious.

No idea what you're on about!

HalloHello · 18/08/2021 18:53

I've never had a sun-dried tomato that is vinegary? They should be oily, soft, delicious! Even better wrapped in a slice of Parma ham 🤣

SilverTimpani · 18/08/2021 18:54

I love them!

All meat disgusts me but sundried tomatoes are a gift from god.

I feel like they’re really bitter, they make me shudder - like vinegar. Maybe I’ve just eaten gone off ones Grin

They are just horrible. Leathery, oily and nasty. They taste so strong they taint everything they touch. Boo to sun dried tomatoes.

Satansballsacks · 18/08/2021 19:00

Mmmmmmm. Delicious.
