Sundried tomatoes?!

Soggy, vinegary monstrosities…

If your sundried toms are vinegary there is something wrong with them. No vinegar should go near them!

Areyouseriousrightnow · 18/08/2021 19:29

Fucking VILE

Glittertwins · 18/08/2021 19:30

Love them, along with Parma ham and olives too

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 18/08/2021 19:39

@ChavDiningHalls

I love them, and eat them out of the jar. However, I'm going to be thinking of Satan's ballsacks next time I do. Grin

I use sun dried tomato purée when I’m cooking. Otherwise I agree with you. They smell amazing but the texture and flavour is disappointing when eaten as is.

CirqueDeMorgue · 18/08/2021 19:45

Ooh I love them.

KatherineJaneway · 18/08/2021 19:47

I agree. Hard and chewy.

@UsernameNotAvailableApparently

Satan’s ballsacks I’ve decided. I can’t genuinely believe people actually enjoy eating them.
I always think, 'Van Gogh's ear'.
FrankButchersDickieBow · 18/08/2021 19:54

I lurve them! And Parma ham!

They are soft and unctuous. I can't stop once I've started.

Om pizza, in pasta. Along with other antipasti.

Yum yum pigs bum.

Biancadelrioisback · 18/08/2021 19:56

@jobsagudden

YABVU Sun dried tomatoes are probably in my top 5 things to eat. And parma ham is lovely!
Same. They're my go to for pizza toppings. And in sandwiches
DiscoLightsOnAFridayNight · 18/08/2021 19:58

Pesto, mozzarella & sun dried tomato paninis are the best! I chop the tomatoes into small pieces though so they’re not chewy.

RisingSunn · 18/08/2021 19:58

Love them and Parma Ham!

Xeak · 18/08/2021 19:59

Sun-dried tomatoes are amazing, never tasted a vinegary one, I love them in sandwiches and straight out of the jar when rummaging in the fridge

LimeRedBanana · 18/08/2021 20:01

YANBU - horrible little things. And I eat a wide range of food.

I can deal with them finely chopped up in things, but by themselves? Envy

lazylinguist · 18/08/2021 20:02

YABVU about both sundried tomatoes and parma ham.

LemonMeringueThreePointOneFour · 18/08/2021 20:02

Yep, revolting things. Like salty, oily shoe leather.

BastardMonkfish · 18/08/2021 20:03

Sun blushed tomatoes are much nicer, sun dried taste nice but are a bit chewy.

noideawhatusernametochoose · 18/08/2021 20:04

YABVU.
They're utterly delish.

NoIDontWatchLoveIsland · 18/08/2021 20:04

I'm sat here eating raw parma ham straight out of the packet and it is glorious

CanIPullYouForAChat · 18/08/2021 20:05

I love sundried tomatoes! But I hate regular uncooked tomatoes. Disgusting, slimy, acidic monstrosities.

ChocBeforeCock · 18/08/2021 20:05

I have never agreed with an OP more

pigsDOfly · 18/08/2021 20:07

Hang on.

Someone's saying they're vinegary, someone else saying they're hard and chewy.

Are you sure it's sundried tomatoes you've been eating, those oily, soft tomatoes that are utterly delicious

What you're describing sounds a great deal more like gherkins.

Ditto
RoseGoldEagle · 18/08/2021 20:12

YABU, sandwich with chicken, avocado and sun dried tomatoes is just perfection!

I really don’t think people are mistaking sun-dried tomatoes for gerkhins. Grin
