Promoting a book she has written about climate change and is now not straight apparently, but then one must get on the identity bandwagon somehow. Her initial responses when called out on her Burka post were mind-blowing in their idiocy and total lack of awareness of world events and life outside her rich, privileged bubble.

Until she came along, Harry and Meghan were doing what they do best and using a serious situation for shameless self publicity. But this woman just took the spotlight from them in one fell swoop. Also - off topic but I read the link - when did 'queer' become acceptable?! I have friends who are gay and lesbian and I cannot imagine them using the word. It has vile connotations to me. I am 41 though so maybe I am just past it 🤷🏼‍♀️

She posted this after the news from Afghanistan. She deleted the post and said she hadn’t watched the news but that seems unlikely as it was all over social media (which she was on).

It's just attention seeking, look at me, aren't I relevant nonsense, done because she has to ally herself and be seen to do so with the identity 'in' crowd. Plus she's promoting her book on Climate Change and needs to appeal to said 'in' crowd in the hope they will buy it.

To be fair, I'm a woman planning children with my male partner but I am bisexual not straight.

Obviously educated beyond her intellegence. I have a beautiful niece who looks just like her, no degree but obviously much more intellegent as she would never do anything as half-witted as that.

OP - I though H&M's statement was reasonable and it provides links to appropriate charities, so it is a bit unneccesary to equate it with this dim-witted act. Can you never forgive the poor woman for marrying your prince?

As for using the word “queer”, I’m not LGBT but a recent tweet from Pride said about making 2021 the “year of the queer” and a lot of the responses from within the LGBT community were not happy:

So it seems it’s use is controversial, even though I have heard other woke people use it too (Jameela Jamil self describes as queer too I think). I certainly would never use it as a straight person.

She has a book to sell so what else was she meant to do? Let it sell on its own merits or some shameless stupid publicity stunt?
