Posting here for traffic! I am one of those annoying people who hate noise. The pillows I currently have are horrendous, only have to move slightly and it sounds like two pieces of cheap material rubbing together and it is driving me insane (currently have Silent Night Hotel like pillows)
Been doing some research on Internet and a lot of it seems contradictory
Do you any of you have any recommendations for a nice comfortable silent pillow please?
Thank you x

No idea but I went to dunelm on Saturday and they have pillows there on display out of the bag so you get to have a play about with them... Worth a try

Memory foam pillows don't make any noise, we also had the hotel pillows and the crackling was so annoying so switched to memory foam

Argos Home Honeycomb Jersey Medium Pillow

£14.00

Got it about 6 weeks ago and was initially a bit sceptical as it looks a bit nylony (I know, not really a word) but it's soft but firm and really comfy. The call it honeycomb but it's sort of diamond quilted.

Failing that a teddy bear fleece pillow is another good option. I have one of those too. Very nice, plumper than a normal pillow because of the fleece. Actually have had it about six years and is still comfortable and not squished and lumpy.

Another option is shredded memory foam. Got one of those too. Very firm but some come with a zip so you can take a bit out to make it a little softer. Nice selection on Amazon.

I find all of them quiet. I dislike pillows rustling in my ears too.

If it's really been bugging me, in the past I have wrapped one of those velvety supersoft (that's what they're called not the description) throws over the pillow. Tis like sleeping on a really big kitten...very nice sensory wise and quiet.

How much money have you got? Dunlopillo are very expensive but I really do recommend them if you can afford. They have a foam core (not memory foam) and they are just perfect (for me, at least)

Whattodoffs · 16/08/2021 18:30

Thank you everyone, some good suggestions here, going to take a look and order something this evening
@ViaRia - was looking to spend about £100-£150 for 4 pillows, maybe a bit more if they are worth it x

I can highly recommend the pillows from linen bundle they are the most comfy pillows they make no noise I’ve ever had, bonus that the filling is made from recycled plastic bottles

Shmithecat2 · 16/08/2021 18:43

I bought these a while ago and they're fab. Silent, and you can remove the filling to suit your preference in firmness.

Just FYI, I’ve just replaced my ancient and beloved Dunlopillo — I was hoping to get the same exact one, but it seems they are now branded Relyon, at least in the UK.

But apparently the manufacturer and process is exactly the same 🤷‍♀️

InFiveMins · 16/08/2021 19:03

I agree about Dunlopillo - they are expensive but very good.

RosaBaby2 · 16/08/2021 19:05

Dunlopillo honestly the best EVER, worth every penny

LoveFall · 16/08/2021 19:08

There was a review of pillows in the Telegraph this week. I wanted to but the highest rated but it is not available in Canada. It had memory foam bits and polyester fill you could adjust. It sounded heavenly.

I just bought a memory foam bits one instead. I haven't slept on it yet as it is puffing up after packaging. But this morning it feels great. It also has a bag of the chips you can use to adjust the fill.

Dunelm Bamboo pillows are nice - squishy but not soft and don't make any noise. The cover is very soft too

CombatBarbie · 16/08/2021 19:22

Love my bamboo pillows, got them from amazon.

phishy · 16/08/2021 19:38

I’m currently using this £18 pillow and really like it - Dunelm Mill Super Comfort Quilted Firm Support Pillow. I had a Tempur Cloud one that I bought for £70 but gave it away to my mum as it was to high for me. This Dunelm one is perfect, I’ve had it a few months now and it’s still firm,

I also recommend dunlopillo. Went to stay at in-laws last week and took our dunlopillos as the guest bed is super uncomfortable and the usual pillows are flat. Went from super uncomfortable sleep to being able to sleep well on the worst bed ever! Highly recommended!

HurryUpAndWait23 · 16/08/2021 19:49

Great. Now I can hear my pillows.

Bigpinkslippers · 16/08/2021 20:02

I recently got these pillows, so far so good. I've bought a lot in the last couple of years and these seem to be the best. Sweetnight Pillows Pack of 4 Bed... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B081V1DZFL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Simba pillows! My husband and I have one each and we have even written our names on them! So comfy, no noise and you can adjust the memory foam beads filling to the firmness of your choice (hence why we have our names on them so we don't get mixed up at bed changing time)

Sorry *@HurryUpAndWait23*
In all seriousness, I have pillow issues too. Just not with sound. I've wasted many a penny over the years.

I found some perfect pillows once which DH picked up for me when DC2 was born. They lasted a few years, the label wore thin and I've been chasing the dream (which pillows were they?!) ever since.

I like the idea of Simba pillows. I've had my sim a mattress for about 2 months and it's bliss.

jimmyhill · 16/08/2021 21:30

IKEA feather ones are great

TheGlitterFairy · 16/08/2021 22:00

Pillows from The Wynn hotel in Vegas - the best ever (and yes you can buy them, they’re not stolen)!

EmoIsntDead · 16/08/2021 22:06

We have Yanis latex pillows, they are AMAZING. DH has the regular and Ive got the slim one as I sleep on my front so don’t like a high pillow. Expensive but worth it and will last years
