What tiny things have you done to specifically annoy someone?

My Mil came from a pretty wealthy family and definitely saw herself as a 'cut above' most people.
So I always used to chop carrots into rounds when she came for a meal as I knew she thought it was 'common'; posh people always cut carrots into sticks.
It was a tiny thing but it gave me so much pleasure over the years.Grin
Can anyone beat passive-aggressive cooked carrots?

@Amima

That isn't funny. That is the definition of gaslighting you know. Oh do fuck off. The beeping gadget is literally sold in a joke shop as a practical joke.
Yes but it's abnormal to do it for TEN YEARS!
Bloodypunkrockers · 11/08/2021 11:17

@ActonSquirrel

Don't we tell children it's only a joke if the other person laughs?

Switching WiFi off whilst someone is working and laughing...if I lost documents I'd worked because someone thought that was funny to the extent they are dancing with laughter...or cut off a meeting I'd divorce them and see how hard they laughed.

I couldn't believe that one

Dancing while their partner was dealing with the wifi

Twattish behaviour

Bloodypunkrockers · 11/08/2021 11:18

And that beeping gadget one

If someone did that to me, they'd get it shoved up their arse

The poster seems proud. Ffs

I recently had to work on a project with an absolute bellend from another department, he ran the project and me and my brilliant boss, made it our mission to kill him with kindness and provide him with all the information he needed before he needed to ask for it. He made a few proper cockups and that was brilliant, seeing him squirm! We definitely came out on top on that project

My aunt likes to kid herself that she's not ageing despite being mid 60s. I signed her up for marketing from SAGA holidays - brochures, emails, phone calls, everything! Grin

Turn the loo roll the wrong way round.

blueshoes · 11/08/2021 11:24

@Mammaaof

When my partner does my head in, I switch the WiFi on and off quickly then run off to play with the kids, he has to come out of the office fuss around, back and fore to see if it's back on, scratching his head wondering what's wrong with it, asking everyone if their devices are down, all the time I'm dancing inside 😂
This is funny? Is his work paying for the family whilst you "run off to play with the kids".

I agree with the other poster that he should divorce you. Your marriage is over.

SoupDragon · 11/08/2021 11:25

I put a full stop on the end of texts to DS1 just to wind him up.

ablutiions · 11/08/2021 11:25

@kwiksavenofrillsusername 'Lego lady haircut' 🤣🤣🤣

AdditionalCharacter · 11/08/2021 11:27

Use the word beverage instead of drink, irrationally winds my 18yr old up .

How incredibly petty and immature.

I have been getting stuff from Saga since about my late 20’s, I’m wondering where they got my details from.
Bogofftosomewherehot · 11/08/2021 11:29

@Rockmehardplace

If DH is annoying me, I transfer £1 into his bank account with references like “uraw*nker”. Petty but makes me happy.
I just literally LOL'd at that!
blueshoes · 11/08/2021 11:29

Some of the weird posters are like the ad where the man is showering and the woman (presume his partner who hates him for some reason) flushes the toilet so that it causes the water in the shower to suddenly go hot causing him to recoil from being scalded.

Charming.

Poor woman.
@Georgyporky

I'm amazed that you both put away other peoples' clothing.

Not sure why you think it’s weird. If I do the drying I put our stuff away, if DH does the drying he puts the stuff away. What’s weird about that?
Exactly! some people always have to make out they are sooooooo much better or more feminist than you, weird!!

Motnight · 11/08/2021 11:32

@FangsForTheMemory

I went vegetarian for more than a year just to annoy my mother.
Dd, is that you?

torquewench · 11/08/2021 11:35

I arranged an online date with a cheating ex who, despite wanting to spend the rest of his life with me, couldn't stay off POF. Meetup was specifically arranged in a location with a webcam so I could see him turn up and wait. Fair play to him, I wouldn't have waited for nearly an hour ...

SedentaryCat · 11/08/2021 11:36

After a row about something really silly where I thought he was being an idiot, I ironed DHs boxer shorts (I don't usually Smile) and put creases in awkward places.

Not sure if he even noticed, but I enjoyed doing it!

Letsallscreamatthesistene · 11/08/2021 11:36

I lived with a twat of a housemate when I was a student. I used to put a small amount of gone off milk into her fresh milk to make it go off. I did it loads. I used to smile to myself everytime I heard a 'FOR FUCKS SAKE' coming from the kitchen.

Love that! I use stupid 90s text talk to my 14 yo ds to wind him up Smile
Bogofftosomewherehot · 11/08/2021 11:39

@ChilliChaos

Next door used to go out all day and leave their dog barking in the garden. One night it was raining and I threw a whole box of oxo cubes over the fence and they melted into the grass. Their dog wrecked the garden searching for the smell.
That's cruel.
JudgeJ · 11/08/2021 11:40

@Wontsomebodyplsthinkofthecats

I used to watch my Ex lock the front door and then wait until he had got settled into bed and ask him if he'd locked the door knowing full well that he had but that he wouldn't be able to go to sleep until he'd gone down and double checked Grin it used to really wind him up!
Oh my late OH was like that, he would come out of the house, lock the door, check the handle again and again, once he was in the car I'd say Have you checked the door? If I was out last I'd deliberately turn the key and remove it, not checking, drove him mad. He once drove 5 miles out of our way to check I'd turned the iron off, of course I hadn't but didn't tell him that when I came out of the house.
Potplant · 11/08/2021 11:42

When ex was annoying me I’d flush the downstairs toilet when he was in the shower so it would run cold for a minute.

Mind you jokes on me when he called a plumber to look at it.

I had a colleague who frequently swerved his turn in the tea round. When it really annoyed me, I’d fish a dirty cup out of the dishwasher and give him that. (Dishwasher went on daily, they were never that dirty)
I’ve also given the rubbish mugs to people who annoy me at work too. obviously they don’t know they are the rubbish mugs, so it’s a silent victory for me.
