Or is it becoming horribly dumbed down and turning into Milkshake?
The presenters just shriek and dance around at every opportunity with no sense of rapport with their audience imho. Most of the programmes are now animation with no interaction with the children watching.
I yearn for Sid, Pui and Chris, please come back.
I do like Katy and Rebecca though.

Yanbu. I turned it on once and the presenter was stood there with a wooden spoon and saucepan yelling at the top of her voice "I love to bang!" 😳

How do I know their names?
I am a mother of four, granny of six and childcare provider of over 30 years… I’ve watched my fair share and CBeebies used to be great. 😁

Do they still do season / days of the week songs? I used to love them and learning the routines.

I wonder if some of the production of the "human" shows were affected because of the pandemic.

No harm in showing repeats from a few years ago though; it's not as if the toddlers will remember it.

Everyone loves Bluey it seems. I’m not drawn to animation preferring actors actually ‘interacting’ with the children.

Yes it’s probably that and much cheaper to buy in animated shows from around the world.

I switched it on the other day and they were playing a game called yoghurt or not yoghurt...guess which fact is about yoghurt. Really scraping the barrel (yoghurt pot?!)

I have a 7 year old and a 2.5 year old so have had my fair share of CBeebies on the telly, but I really can’t say I’ve paid that much attention to the content, I’m usually mumsnetting doing grown up things while the DC watch. The little one likes it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lol no definitely not aimed at me but as a viewer of almost 20 years there is a definite decline in quality which is a shame.

Bluey is horrific. The parents are permissive past the point of sanity, the kids are all awful, and my daughter now calls our toilet the 'dunny'

But tbh nowadays the kids watch CBEEBIES on the TV app. And they still have lots of fantastic programs. Kids love Numberblocks, Alphablocks, Duggee, Jojo Grangran, Bluey....

I haven’t watched the live bits for a while but I think a lot of new programming is dumbed down eg coco melon

I loved Numberjacks, I can cook, Show me, Show me, Storymakers, Boogie Beebies, so many.

My era was Andy, Sid and Kerry. Some programmes I loved, others not so much.

All I know is that ANY CBeebies programme is infinitely better than the sodding You Tube bollocks my DCs watch nowadays.
