It's funny isn't it. So much vitriol from English posters when the UK was ahead with the vaccinations. They called the EU vaccination programme a shitshow, lots of faux concern about the EU killing it's elderly citizens, the conviction that this was going to break up the EU.

Now several European countries have overtaken the UK not a peep.

I haven't heard anything about the Irish and Covid, good or bad. They're not making the news so presumably that's a good thing?

You mean the 'vitriol' that was spouted last year about Ireland being offered vaccine help, the 'vitriol' that was sympathetic, if a little bewildered, with the Irish stance of sticking with the EU supply lines?

Fantastic news about Ireland’s vaccination rates being so high! I’m British living in Britain, not denying the Irish have been treated unfairly at times but I don’t know what vitriol you’re talking about in this case? I have no negative feelings against the Irish and I haven’t seen or heard any slagging off of them by people I know or follow on social media maybe it depends what circles you associate with?

I did think Arlene Foster was lording the faster rollout in Britain a bit but I didn't see her posting on here.

The low grade tabloids were certainly boasting about UK vaccinations leading the rates in Ireland, Germany etc. It was part of their anti-EU campaign, desperately trying to find something good coming out of Brexit.
