I can see a faint line, can you? Google tells me this is positive, but i took it on a whim for the following reasons:

Been taking Depo (contraceptive injection) for 9 months (3 x 12 week jabs) my last one was due on the 16th but didn't get it as i was under house arrest with Corona (my child not me). Booked in for next week instead but grabbed this "just to double check" as no, i have not been careful in the last week. It's not an early detection test though, can i really be pregnant and enough for the test to have picked it up?

Also (apologies for the overshare) i got a little bit of pee splash on the testing window, could this have effected things? Do you think this is why the test line is appearing

I have another test as I purchased a pack of 2 - Just waiting til i need to pee but dont want to overdrink as this could dilute the micro amount of pregnancy hormone i have (IF i have it!!)

AIBU to think the test is wrong due to the above or am i being naïve?

Thanks, this waiting to be able to pee again is killing me! If i hadn't of got a little bit of pee on the viewing window i would have trusted it....

ohhhh do you reckon! I'm in total shock as i was "covered" by the jab and also only a couple of sporadic light periods in 9 months so have nothing to reference. But SOMETHING made me take that test.... It could be my 4th!

Just jumped from my phone to the laptop and the line does look more clear on the big screen for sure....

Drinking a coffee... awaiting the need to pee to do second test. I'm in total shock and just want my partner here to go through this with but he's away until the end of next week. I don't want to tell him anything if I'm not sure!

I'd wait and do the next one first thing tomorrow morning, that should give a clearer result!

Its darker than the line i got on the clear blue and im now 23 weeks pregnant. The clearblue are well known for evap lines but as long as you've read the test within the time frame that definitely looks like a positive to me! Congratulations!

Definitely positive. The pee splashing on the window wouldn't make the line show if there was no HCG. Congratulations.

The Depo actually lasts till 14 weeks and it can take up to a year for your natural fertility to return so maybe be a bit cautious about interpreting just one result, perhaps check the packet insert to check what conditions can affect the test?

I'm not convinced.

It's a half line. Clear blue are weird and tend to throw out lines left right and centre.

Did you say you weren't due on til the 4th and it's not an early detection one?

What's the other test saying?

You mean the post in which the OP told someone they would be the first (as in before the OP and her family) that would consider the baby as welcomed?

Yeah I think you and I both took that post very differently.

ok well.......... I just took another test and it's negative, absolutely not even the faintest line at all!

Even if it was a contraceptive failure (taken more to help banish periods than anything else) I feel really disappointed, even if confirmation wasn't what i had been planning on, which doesn't make sense!

With no more tests to hand I'm going to have to wait and redo one tomorrow aren't i........I could barely wait long enough to pee again, this overnight wait will be agonizing. What one would you trust?

I think you're safe OP, I think the first one was dodgy.
Maybe talk to DP about not getting the next Depo
